A typical Lucky Dog Rescue and Adoption Center day.
From our shift leader: Great crew today, Deb, John Cathleen y Sharon, Caren y myself filled in for Susan with assist by Janet.
The capable crew had all under control today. All the dogs were walked, loved on, cuddled or both.
John brought in 2 bags of Mainstay and small bag of puppy chow. We have 4 bags of Mainstay on hand. Our Lucky dog population is 27. The puppies are a joy, such a happy bunch. All of our Lucky Dogs are great dogs, so appreciative to all the love and care they receive. All are so deserving of homes.
Oliver was the best on his walk today as was Jack and Zoey, all so affectionate. Jay and Muffin are so sweet together, watching them playing in the pet hotel was a joy.
Thank you all for giving so much to Lucky Dog.
We (the dog's lives) are much better because of you.

BREAKING NEWS: PETS ENTERING THE USA NEED A NEW INSPECTION FOR SCREW WORMS
Last week, Mexico notified the USA that ONE case of screw worm had been detected on the southern border with GUATAMALA. They are doing everything they can to eradicate this dangerous disease--it is a flesh-eating larvae that can infect all warm-blooded animals including humans, and can be fatal.

This one case makes Mexico a "screw worm-affected country" subject to an additional inspection specifically for screw worms.

Lucky Dog is very thankful for all our Volunteers, our monthly sponsors, our Lakeside community and Facebook followers for supporting our dogs and our daily efforts to provide the best life for our dogs as possible.
Most of our Lucky Dogs have been with us for over 2 yrs. They all deserve forever homes and are so very thankful for all you do.
