Teaching Verbal Cues
Your dog doesn’t understand words in the human sense. They do not understand the concepts of “sit”, “stay”, etc. They do, however, know what to do when they hear the words. This is learned behavior. Consistent use of the same word is critical. Which word - is mostly irrelevant.
If your goal is to teach them verbal commands - it is crucial to separate it from the body cues.
