Mucha gente piensa que los que estamos de acuerdo con la crianza responsable de perros somos los grandes villanos de la historia, que por los criadores hay perros en la calle abandonados o sufriendo el peor desenlace. No hablaré por otros, pero para mí la crianza es la manifestación máxima del amor y respeto a una raza, es querer perpetuar las virtudes y tratar por todos los medios posibles de erradicar los problemas que tiene, y creánme que esas dediciones vienen con dolor, frustación y decepción. Es estudiar todo el tiempo, saber de historia, de geografía, de anatomía y a veces ser veterinario, etólogo y estilista, por necesidad, por gusto o por urgencia. La gente ve las fotos bonitas de nuestros perros, pero no sabe de las noches sin dormir cuidando ese cachorro que se irá con otra familia, de las manos y ropa llenas de 💩, sangre, tierra, pelos y de las mejillas a veces rojas de la alegría, otras pálidas del miedo y otras más llenas de lágrimas de las tristezas. Pero no hay un solo día que no disfrute esto, que vea a mis perros y sus crías y se me hinche el corazón de amor y gusto por verlos; que pese a todo me diga y les diga que cada segundo vale la pena porque cada uno de mis perros es especial; donde sabiendo de las áreas donde debemos trabajar y mejorar como raza en general no piense que son tan maravillosos estos perros que todo lo que se hace por tenerlos aquí y disfrutarlos es poco comparado con tanto que recibimos de ellos. Y me considero la persona más afortunada porque tengo el mejor trabajo del mundo entero
