This picture is so very precious to me because not only was this one of the best pet sits it was also a time when Hershey Beso Cota Cota and Machete were still alive. I've had to put down way too many dogs in such a short period. Some times I think that it's not fair. And then I remind myself that my life was so much richer during their time with me. I would rather have the 6 years (Cappuchino died of a kidney disease) the 12 years with Magoo (died of heart disease) or my Hershey Beso Beso Cota at 13 years. He died of cancer. And of course, Machete....my most recent.

Of course, this isn't a live koala bear but Zoomer (Zoom Zoom) has been with me since the late 70's. She used to have a baby in her arms (Teo) but we lost him somewhere in the years. She always sleeps with me but since Santana...I now have to put her on a secure shelf way out of reach. Does anyone else have a beloved stuff animal that they've kept for years??!!
