In order to make a difference, our foundation is organized into two separate but interdependent teams. We have the animal nursing and caring team that focuses entirely on the daily needs of those cats and kittens, and also the nerdy team, which strives to find charitable donations and support from the public. The animal care team works hard to provide the best food, medicine and care for the fur b

alls, ensuring that they are able to recover from whatever life had put them through. In general, we care for cats/kittens that are ill, disease infected (e.g. feline sporotrichotis), pregnant cats, injured cats, and abandoned cats/kittens. On the other hand, the nerdy team (or as we like to call it, the marketing team) is passionate about making the efforts and dreams of Meowy Cat Shelter known to the world. We do our best to help Meowy Shelter through various approaches so as to allow a continuous flow of non-profit income into Meowy. Rest assure that all donations and support given towards Meowy Shelter are solely for the improvement of our kitties life quality. There are many ways, YOU as a HUMAN BEING can contribute to Meowy Cat Shelter. So if you love to care for animals, JOIN US!!! Help Angry Bird Sponsor His Medical Expenses
(estimated around RM1500+)

Recently, we rescued a stray cat with a bloody mouth and named him Angry Bird due to his feisty nature. After capturing him, we immediately sent him to the vet for urgent care. Upon examination, the vet found that some of his teeth were broken and decayed, causing him significant pain.
Angry Bird underwent a tooth extraction to remove the damaged and decayed teeth. His estimated medical bill stands at RM800+, covering the procedure and initial care. Additionally, we anticipate needing around RM1,500+ in total to include follow-up treatments and other essential expenses to ensure his full recovery.

Shelter are providing post care for cats after spayed. Board at RM20/day inclusive of food and cat litter ( not include special food).

1. Post-Surgery Recovery: The cats had a safe place to recover after being spayed and vaccinated.

2. Health Monitoring: Shelter will monitored their health during their stay, ensuring they are in good health before release.

3. Owner will be informed if the cat are sick. Owner will need to bring cat to the vet

Returning the cats to the feeder/owner ensures they go back to a familiar environment where they can thrive under continued care.

I’m fighting FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and stomatitis( inflammation in a cat's mouth), which makes eating very painful for me. Despite my struggles, I’ve come a long way, thanks to the care of my amazing shelter mummy who never gives up on me.

Happy New Year, Meowy Friends!

As we step into 2025, we know this year will come with its challenges, but we are comforted by the fact that we have our wonderful Meowy community to share our burden in caring for the special need cats.

Our hope for 2025 is to make an even bigger impact than we did in 2024. We aim to:

😺 Expand our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Rehome/Release) efforts.

😺 Rescue more kittens off the streets and find them loving homes through adoption.

😺Provide better food, supplements, and care for our furry friends.

😺 To cover more area on feeding feline strays

👱Hire extra helping hands to keep up with the growing number of cats in need.

We use this to treat FIP cats, stomatitis and Fcov.
* FIP -Feline infectious peritonitis (often called FIP) is a severe, usually fatal disease
* STOMATITIS - Stomatitis is a more severe form of oral inflammation than gingivitis, involving more than just the gingiva. Stomatitis is often very painful, causing a decreased appetite or difficulty eating.
* Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) is a common viral infection in cats. It generally causes asymptomatic infection, but can cause mild diarrhea.

Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Challenges and Resilience

As 2024 comes to a close (few more days to go), Meowy Cat Shelter reflects on the challenges we faced this year. Thanks to the unwavering support of Meowy Friends, we rescued countless kittens, pregnant cats and injured felines, maintained a steady TNR program and rehoming numerous kittens and adult cat to loving homes.
Caring for elderly, terminally ill, injured cats, pregnant and kittens remained a priority, Though it was a tough year, we made it through together.
We sincerely apologize if we fell short or offended anyone—we acknowledge our limitations in taking in cats. Your continued support is invaluable, and we are deeply grateful.
Here's to another year of hope and compassion for our feline friends!

Use closed doors, gates, or carrier exchanges to let them see and smell each other. Swap bedding or toys to familiarize them with each other's scent. 2. B - Build Trust: Gradually allow controlled face-to-face meetings in a neutral, supervised space. Keep sessions short and positive, using treats or toys to create pleasant associations. Observe their body language for signs of stress or aggression. 3. C - Connection: Once they show comfort in each other’s presence, increase their time together. Allow them to interact freely under supervision. Be patient—successful introductions can take days, weeks, or longer. Consistency and patience are key to fostering harmony between cats. Our Story

Hi There! Thank you for visiting Meowy Cat Shelter. Meowy Cat Shelter was set up in September 2014 with a dying cat name Kaka. Kaka was a hit and run cat that was found in the middle of the road in May 2014. With its head injured and struggling for life. Kaka was nursed back to health and journey to find a home for her begun. Alas , I am not able to find a home just a lot of rejections. At the same time I discovered that there are no place for special need cats and kittens. “ MEOWY BORN SEPT 2014”

An average of 50 kittens been accepted by Shelter with a survival rate of 80% monthly and an average adoption rate of 30 kittens per month. Adult cats with serious case are accepted at an average of 15 cats and survival rate depending on the extend of injuries.

Kittens room was set up , instead of cage up they have their place to play.

TRAP , NEUTER AND REHOME area are set up
