🎆 Chinese New Year Eve: Keeping Your Cats Safe and Calm 🎆

We know how worrying firecracker noises can be for pet owners during Chinese New Year. That’s why I personally came back to Koocing Cat Hotel tonight to check on all the cats under our care. 🐾💖

I’m happy to share that every fur baby is safe, calm, and doing well despite the festive sounds outside. 🐱✨ I’ve taken a video of them so you can see how they’re doing—check it out below!

🎆 Keep Your Pets Safe During the Festive Fireworks Season 🐾

While we celebrate the Lunar New Year with dazzling fireworks, it can be a terrifying experience for our furry companions. Every year, social media is flooded with alerts for lost pets, many of whom run away out of fear, risking accidents or even being captured.

Don’t let your beloved pet face this fear alone! Here are some tips to keep them safe during this festive season 👇:

🌟 Create a Safe Haven for Them
Find a quiet, soundproof room in your home and set up a cozy spot for your pet. Use blankets, beds, puzzle toys, or treats to help them feel secure and comforted.

🌟 Close Doors and Ensure They Wear ID Tags
With all the activity during festive seasons, pets often escape through open doors or windows. Always keep doors and windows securely closed and make sure your pets are wearing ID tags with your contact information.

🌟 Stay Calm and Avoid Over-Comforting
Your pets can sense your emotions. Stay calm and relaxed so they don’t feel there’s a reason to panic. Avoid over-comforting, as this might reinforce their fear of fireworks.

🌟 Start Training Them to Get Used to Fireworks
There’s still time to help them acclimatize! Download fireworks sound effects and play them at a low volume, gradually increasing it as they become more comfortable. Reward them during the training to create positive associations.

🌟 Use Calming Products for Cats
For cats that are especially sensitive, consider using pheromone sprays or diffusers to help them relax.
