URGENT: Help Needed to Bail Out 7 Dogs from DBKL

Seven dogs were caught two days ago at Jalan 1/54A, Taman Setapak Permai, 53300 Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. These dogs desperately need your help to be bailed out, neutered, and relocated to a safer place.

Farah, the feeder who has been caring for them, is asking for assistance. She is a kind-hearted Muslim with limited experience handling dogs and is also looking for a suitable place to relocate them once they are neutered.

Last year, we exposed the brutality of MBJB council which ranged from starving puppies and dogs to outright killing them. Following media coverage, the mayor quickly introduced a plan to neuter 1,000 dogs to portray a compassionate image. However, the cruelty has not stopped.

Photos have surfaced showing a mother dog being handled roughly, resulting in broken tooth and cut tongue. Her terrified puppies were also taken away by Nazapest control.

This council has been accused of serious misconduct, with the pound supervisor, Zahibul, even refusing water for the puppies during our visit.

They have been selling the dog’s food elsewhere, starving the animals and charging RM 250 per dog for bail, with the money going to private accounts. Yes we have all the evidence and receipts to prove it.

A concerned resident recently shared several videos showing dogs being repeatedly abused and beaten by two people in a home at Sri Petaling. Sharing such videos is not an endorsement of abuse but a way to raise public awareness about animal cruelty and advocate for their protection. I will be visiting the home today

Urgent Appeal for Neutering Costs

I have 3 cats and 6 dogs at Faith Veterinary for neutering, costing RM 1,620 (RM 180 each). These cats are from the MBSJ pound, and neutering is vital to control the stray population.

Yesterday, I spotted a dog in Sri Damansara and sought help to catch him. Late last night, the dog’s owner reached out to me, and together we searched for him. After a long effort, we finally managed to catch him. He’s a sweet dog but extremely scared of people. The owner offered me money for my time, but I declined, as I was just happy he was off the streets. I also visited the owner’s home afterward to ensure the dog is safe and well cared for.

In Rawang, Garing Utama, 7 puppies were tragically poisoned and buried. A mother dog was also poisoned by the farmers. Previously, they tied up newborn puppies in a plastic bag and disposed of them in a river. I have filed a police report, and officers arrived at the scene to document the evidence and take photos.

A heartfelt thank you to Pok Ady Shelter for making the long journey from Terengganu to foster 11 rescued cats from the MBSJ pound. To support their care, RM200 and essential medication, including antibiotics, were provided to his shelter. Their generosity and dedication have been truly invaluable.

The Director of the Health Department for MBSJ has filed a police report against the shelter, with one of her claims being that the cats are neither infected nor blind as we stated, and that these claims were made solely to gain public sympathy for funds. To clarify the situation, here are the evidence videos.

As a non-profit organization, we do not receive monthly salaries, and most expenses are covered out of pocket or through public donations to provide treatment and care for these animals.
