Thank you Tam Tam's family!

We are overjoyed to share a remarkable recovery story from our clinic. Recently, we treated a senior feline friend who was struggling with bladder stones and transitional cell carcinoma. With our team's expertise and care, we managed to successfully treat the bladder stones without the need for surgery in just 2 weeks!

Even more incredible, the cancerous tumor has significantly shrunk within this short period, showing promising progress.

This incredible outcome underscores our commitment to providing the best possible care, especially for our older pet friends. Early intervention and effective treatments can make a world of difference.

We want to extend our gratitude to the loving pet parents for their trust in us. Itโ€™s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. If your pet is experiencing any health issues, don't waitโ€”reach out to us. Weโ€™re here to ensure every pet lives their healthiest, happiest life.

๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฑ Thank you for being part of the Noah's Ark Veterinary Clinic family! ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’–

Dear valued clients,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to address the temporary closure of my vet clinic.

As some of you may know, I recently experienced a deeply personal loss as my father passed away in a foreign country. This has required me to travel and navigate complicated procedures to bring his ashes back home.

During this challenging time, I've made the difficult decision to temporarily close the clinic to focus on these matters and take care of my family. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding during this period.

I also want to address some recent comments that have been made regarding the closure of the clinic. It's important to remember that behind every business, there are people facing personal challenges and struggles. Your support and compassion mean a lot, especially during times of grief.

I look forward to reopening the clinic soon and continuing to provide the best care for your beloved pets. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out if you have any urgent concerns or need assistance.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Warm regards,
Dr. Wendy

30/03/2024

It is unusual for us to diagnose a puppy who infected with Canine Parvo Virus when he completed his 3rd vaccine (from other clinic) about 3 weeks ago.

Why Do Puppies Need Vaccines?

When a puppy is born, its immune system is not yet mature. For a while (a few weeks) the motherโ€™s antibodies help protect their puppies' immune systems. Eventually, the maternal antibodies fade away, and it is important that we help the puppy have a strong immune system to help fight off contagious diseases. Vaccines trigger immune responses by stimulating the immune systemโ€™s productions of antibodies that destroy disease-causing organisms that enter the body.

We recommend that puppies receive a minimum of 3 rounds of vaccines in the first year, and for ultra protection against Parvo, we recommend puppies receive a 4th round of vaccine. Ideally, the first round of vaccine is administered about 6 weeks of age. The following rounds should be administered approximately 3 weeks (every 21 days) thereafter.

Steve the bearded dragon's journey from recovering from metabolic bone disease (MBD) can be both inspiring and educational. Here's the recovery journey:

Steve the bearded dragon was a lively reptile with a radiant personality, but his joy was dimmed by a condition known as metabolic bone disease (MBD). Due to Steve's calcium and vitamin D3 levels were imbalanced, leading to weakened bones and deformities.

Upon noticing Steve's sluggishness and unusual gait, Steve's owner took him to our clinic for a thorough examination. Our vet diagnosed Steve with advanced MBD but assured owner that with proper care and treatment, Steve may had a chance at recovery.

The journey of Steve's recovery began with adjustments to his habitat. Steve's owner ensured that Steve's enclosure had proper UVB lighting and a calcium-rich diet consisting of calcium-dusted diets. Additionally, he created a warm basking spot where Steve could absorb UVB rays and regulate his body temperature.

3 days after aggressive therapy, Steve started showing signs of improvement. His movements became more fluid, and he regained some of his lost energy. He is able to do a little rock climbing!

As days turned into weeks, Steve's progress was nothing short of remarkable. His deformed limbs straightened out, and he began standing on his own limbs without putting pressure on his chest, exploring his environment with renewed vigor. Steve's owner documented Steve's journey and updated our clinic time to time.

With ongoing veterinary follow-ups and continued dedication from Steve's owner, Steve is doing greatly and getting back on healthy track. His once brittle bones were now strong and healthy, allowing him to live a fulfilling life as a happy and active bearded dragon.

19/03/2024

Dear Cat Parents,

We want to take a moment to talk about something crucial: Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD). This condition can be distressing for both cats and their owners, but with the right care and attention, it's often preventable. Here are some key points to keep your feline friend healthy and happy:

Hydration Matters: Make sure your cat stays well-hydrated. Provide fresh water daily and consider wet food, which has higher moisture content, to promote urinary tract health.

Quality Nutrition: Feed your cat a balanced diet that supports urinary health. Consult with your veterinarian to choose the right food for your cat's specific needs.

Regular Vet Check-ups: Schedule routine check-ups for your cat. Early detection of any urinary issues can lead to better outcomes and prevent complications.

Environmental Enrichment: Create a stress-free environment for your cat. Stress can contribute to FLUTD, so provide plenty of hiding spots, scratching posts, and playtime to keep your cat mentally and physically stimulated.

Litter Box Maintenance: Keep the litter box clean and accessible. Cats are fastidious creatures and may avoid using a dirty or cramped litter box, leading to potential urinary issues.

Watch for Signs: Be vigilant for signs of FLUTD such as frequent urination, straining, blood in the urine, or changes in litter box habits. If you notice any of these symptoms, don't hesitate to contact your vet.

Remember, prevention is key when it comes to FLUTD. By taking proactive steps and being attentive to your cat's needs, you can help them avoid urinary tract problems and enjoy a healthy life.

Yuan Bao was a charming orange geriatric cat with a playful spirit, but lately, he hadn't been himself. He was lethargic, drinking less water than usual, and refusing to eat.

Our clinic wasted no time in assessing Yuan Bao's condition. We have conducted thorough examinations and ran numerous tests, all while showering him with gentle care and affection. The diagnosis was heartbreaking - Yuan Bao was suffering from acute kidney injury (AKI) a.k.a acute kidney failure.

Determined to help Yuan Bao recover, our team sprang into action. We devised a personalized treatment plan tailored to his specific needs, including intravenous fluids to address his dehydration and medications to support his failing kidneys.

Day and night, our dedicated team tended to Yuan Bao, monitoring his progress with unwavering diligence. Two days later, Yuan Bao's condition began to improve, his appetite returned, his energy levels soared, and his spirit shone brighter than ever before.

Finally, the day came when Yuan Bao was deemed well enough to go home. His family was overjoyed to be reunited with their beloved cat, now happy, healthy, and full of life once again.
