Baldwin guinea pig
Though the Baldwin occurred as a result of mutated overbreeding, it is nevertheless a robust breed of cavy that just so happens to be bald.

Babies are often born with a fine fur but this eventually drops out to leave a soft but rubbery textured skin.

Because they aren’t native to any particular climate and are not found in the wild, Baldwin’s (naturally) prefer more temperate conditions; they do not tolerate hot and cold in the same way as their furry friends.

Remember that the fur which keeps a guinea pig warm also acts as a barrier for strong sunlight so always provide shade and a snug spot for your Baldwin when he is outdoors. The ideal conditions for them are indoors out of direct draughts and with a good size cage.

The upside of owning a hairless guinea pig is, of course, the lack of grooming but instead you will need to be particularly selective over bedding and any material you use in their environment. Sawdust, shavings and hay can all cause skin irritation so it is recommended that you use soft and/or allergen free material. You will also need to change this more frequently; again, to avoid irritation to their skin.

However, no grooming means that you will be responsible for bathing instead and Baldwin’s benefit from a light bathe with fragrance free shampoo or cleanser every few weeks.

Baldwin’s have a slightly higher metabolic rate than other breeds of cavy so they do require more food and water.

All that being said, these bald guinea pigs are good natured with great personalities and make great companions for children and adults.

SKINNY PIG
The Skinny Pig is an almost hairless breed of Guinea pig. Skinny pigs typically have hair on their muzzles, feet, and legs, but are hairless over the remainder of their bodies. Some of them have a thin covering of fuzzy hair on their backs as well. A healthy Skinny has skin that is mostly smooth with some wrinkling around the legs and neck, the body is full with no appearance of spine or ribs. Skinnies can come in a variety of colours and patterns, such as Dutch, Tortoiseshell, Himalayan and many others. "Skinny" is the term used for hairless guinea pigs to describe the illusion of their visually thinner appearance, or colloquially referring to the exposed skin of the animal. The modern Skinny Pig breed originated with a cross between haired guinea pigs and a hairless lab strain. The hairless strain that it is most likely related to was a spontaneous genetic mutation that was first identified at Montreal's Armand Frappier Institute in 1978, in a colony of Hartley lab guinea pigs. In 1982 they were sent to Charles River Laboratories to be bred for laboratory use and are commonly used in dermatology studies today.[1] They are an outbred strain that has an intact thymus[2] and normal immune system.[3]

WEREWOLF SKINNY PIG
today i m doing the werewolf skinny pig. to start of when the little baby skinny pig is born. it has lots of fur like normal Guinea pigs do but as they get older, their fur falls out. next, the werewolf skinny pig eats what every skinny pig eats in the wild. GRASS! the next thing is that werewolf skinny pigs live in south America and live in other places but only as pets. the next part is that the werewolf skinny pig is a very popular pet. i do not know allot about werewolf skinny pigs so if you find anything wrong TELL ME. the next part is that the werewolf skinny pig lives in very hot places. this is why they live in dens. they use their sharp claws to dig huge dens which keep them cool in the warm/hot weather. the last part is that the werewolf skinny pig has very bad hearing. so if a predator is nearby, only if the werewolf skinny pig sees it in time will it escape and hide inside of its little den that it dug
