Observation Highlights:

🌱Plant Height: 240 - 250cm
🌱Cob Position: Chest level – ideal for easy harvesting
🌱Disease Resistance: Strong
🌱Leaf & Husk Color: Dark green, giving the crop a healthy appearance
🌱Flag Leaves: Medium length
🌱Husk Cover: Secure, with a 1-2 finger gap for good cob protection
🌱Kernel Size: Large, with juicy, pale yellow kernels

Grower Feedback: 🌟 "I’m really pleased with G927! The shank is soft, making it easier to harvest, and the corn’s sweetness is just right. The ear wing and husk are very attractive, and the pale yellow kernels give it an appealing look."

🌟 "Each cob weighs around 300-500g, and it’s less fibrous, so it has that perfect juicy bite. The chest-level cob position also makes harvesting much more convenient. Overall, this is a top variety with good disease resistance!"

GWG RHU TAPAI FIELD DAY 2024

📍 Venue: GWG Rhu Tapai Station

The GWG Rhu Tapai team successfully hosted a Field Day, showcasing our latest okra, cucumber, and sweet corn varieties to growers and dealers in the region. Attendees had the opportunity to witness first-hand the outstanding performance of the crops and the superior quality of the yields in the field.

A heartfelt thank you to all the visitors for their support and participation in making this event a success!

Location: Ulu Tiram
Population: 3000 polybags

Observation:
🥒 Vigorous growth with no signs of virus infections.
🥒 First harvest at 35 DAS, with peak harvest beginning at 12 DAH, producing an impressive yield of 1-1.2 MT/day.
🥒 Fruit length ranges from 20-28 cm, with each fruit weighing between 400g to 1kg.
🥒 Excellent fruit quality with an attractive darker green exocarp, firm and thick flesh, and a small seed core.

Grower's Comment:

Pleased with the total yield harvested so far, with a target of reaching 20 MT.
High input and consistent fertigation are essential for ensuring continued quality harvests.
