The MPKS Rabies control and licensing event was held at Open University (OUM Kuching Campus) today from 9am to 4pm. In today's event, over 50 dogs were vaccinated with rabies vaccine, and over 20 dogs got their licence registered for future uses. SSPCA would like to thank all those who participated in and contributed to the sucess of the event! We are grateful for your support in helping us achieve our shared goal of having a safer healthier communities for both pets and their owners.

Join us this Saturday (18th of Jan) at Open University (OUM) Kuching campus!!! The primary objective of this event is to enhance public awareness and understanding of rabies and the importance of timely vaccination in both animals and humans to reduce the risk of outbreaks and ensure public health safety. In this event, we will provide FREE vaccination services, neutering subsidies (up to RM150), onsite pet licensing, and microchipping. Do note that the neutering service is only exclusive to the family that live in and with a Kota Semarahan address. The vaccine is open for all dogs, regardless of area.

Hi everyone, SSPCA has an announcement to make. A dog was stolen yesterday in Mayling Garden, Jalan Sungai Maong Tengah. The dog was taken by someone in a car outside the owner's house. It is a 5 years old female (not spayed) Sh*tzu mix, grey in colour. She is such a sweetheart and will respond to her name, Minnie. If anyone has seen her or knows anything about her whereabouts, please contact Sue immediately at 01110664282. Cash money will be rewarded for her safe return. Hope to hear some good news for Minnie soon 🙏.

Yesterday (6th of January 2025) SSPCA held a press conference for our Pet Walk 2025. The event will be collaboratively hosted by the Kuching Progressive Community Association and the SSPCA. This particular event will occur on the 27th of April, at 6.30 a.m. at the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Foyer. A pet walk event is a great opportunity for both pet owners and their pets to enjoy some exercise, strengthen their bond, and socialize with other pets and people in a fun, supportive environment. In addition, the Kuching Division Health Office will offer complimentary veterinary health assessments for all pets participating in the event. The target number of participants for this event is 1000, we also encourage sponsorship in the form of funds, goods, or participation from ministries, government departments, and non-governmental organisations to help enhance the event.
