🌟 Rescue Update! 🌟

We successfully rescued 23 cats and 5 turtles from a challenging situation at Jalan Semaba. Our approach involved open communication.

"I'm saving them from those that eat cats, and that God is my witness," the lady claimed.

We thanked her for saving the cats but the cages were too small and that she had too many to look after. We reassured the lady that the cats would be better cared for with us. After much haggling, she agreed to let us take all 23 cats, acknowledging the need for proper care.

One kitten was immediately taken to the vet for severe dehydration and flu. We also negotiated to take 5 Malayan black turtles, promising to release them safely.

Currently, we have 5 cats still looking for loving foster homes. If you can help, please message SSPCA.

Kids Speak is holding an advocacy event, 'Say Yes', to raise funds and awareness for 4 local NGOs: SSPCA, KFA, SOS Kids and Sarawak Eco Warriors. This event is supported by the School of Design and Arts, Swinburne University.

Members of the public are welcome to buy merchandise from the NGOs or donate food items to KFA at the Charity Bazaar (starting at 8.30am).

For those with 'Say Yes' tickets (RM40 per pax), the advocacy speeches will begin at 10.00am sharp at the Lecture Theatre.
[All proceeds will be donated to the 4 NGOs]

🙏 SSPCA Urgent Appeal for Donations 🙏

The Sarawak Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is reaching out to the community for urgent assistance following recent heavy rains and strong winds that have severely damaged the trees surrounding our shelter. As a result, several old trees have fallen, presenting safety concerns for both our building and the animals in our care.

In light of this situation, we are launching a fundraising campaign to seek public donations to help us safely remove, trim, and care for the damaged trees. Ensuring the safety and security of our shelter is our utmost priority, and immediate action is essential to prevent further damage to our facilities and potential harm to the animals we serve.

We rely heavily on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations in our community to continue our mission of providing care, shelter, and rehabilitation to vulnerable animals. Your kind contributions will go directly toward:

- Hiring professional tree removal and trimming services.
- Ensuring a safe environment for our shelter animals.
- Maintaining the integrity of our shelter building.
