KIM Veterinary Clinic & Surgery is proud to be part of a meaningful mission to reduce the number of stray dogs in our community. Over the past week, we successfully spayed and neutered nearly 40 dogs from a local shelter. Each of these lives represents a step toward a brighter, healthier future for our furry friends and a commitment to building a compassionate community. It’s more than just a task – it’s a heartfelt journey of care, responsibility, and hope for a better tomorrow.

Vetcare Sharing session 1:

Toffee: A Journey of Love, Care, and Remarkable Veterinary Support

Toffee, our beloved mixed-breed terrier, was born in 2002 and shared 22 incredible years with us. His journey was one of resilience and love, shaped by the care he received from us and the exceptional veterinary support of Dr. Ooi at Kimvets Melaka.

In 2014, after 12 years of thriving on regular kibbles, Toffee developed diabetes and renal issues. Dr. Ooi’s expert diagnosis and treatment plan, including tailored medication and a hypoallergenic diet, brought significant improvements to Toffee’s health.

Two years later, new challenges arose with the discovery of tumors and liver complications. Once again, through Dr. Ooi’s meticulous care and appropriate medication, these conditions were effectively managed.

By the time Toffee reached the age of 18, he faced cataracts and glaucoma, eventually losing his sight. Despite this, his spirit remained strong, thanks to ongoing treatment and the unwavering love and attention of my wife Wendy and me.

Toffee’s incredible longevity, reaching 22 years, was a testament to his fighting spirit, the devoted care he received at home, and the professionalism of Dr. Ooi and his team. On May 13, 2024, our beloved Toffee peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of unconditional love and treasured memories.

We are forever grateful to Dr. Ooi and Kimvets for their compassionate and expert care, which gave us so many extra years with our beloved Toffee.

我们的爱犬Toffee ，一只混种的梗犬，生于2002年，与我们一起度过了22年令人难忘的美好时光。他的生命旅程充满了韧性与爱，还有感激卓越的Dr Ooi和KIMVETS 兽医诊所团队的卓越护理和支持下创造出这不可思议的传奇。

2014年，在享用了12年普通狗粮后，Toffee 被诊断出患有糖尿病和肾脏问题。Dr. Ooi凭借专业的诊断和治疗方案，包括量身定制的药物和低敏饮食，大大改善了Toffee 的健康状况。

两年后，它又面临新的健康挑战，被发现长了肿瘤和肝脏并发症。再次通过Dr. Ooi细致入微的护理和适当的药物治疗，这些疾病得到了有效控制。

到了18岁时，Toffee 患上了白内障和青光眼，最终失去了视力。尽管如此，在持续治疗和我与妻子Wendy无微不至的关爱下，它依然保持着顽强的生命力。

Toffee以22岁高龄缔造了令人惊叹的生命历程，这不仅归功于它坚韧的生命力，也得益于我们悉心的家庭照料以及Dr. Ooi和他的团队的专业护理。2024年5月13日，我们心爱的Toffee 安息地离开了我们，留下了一份无私的爱与珍贵的回忆。

我们衷心感谢Dr. Ooi和KIMVETS 诊所团队，他们富有爱心与专业的照料让我们与Toffee 多度过了许多宝贵的时光。
