Okay. We are all going for company trip. 🏝️
Yes clinic is closed for 3 days. We will be back SATURDAY 24/8/2024.
There is no consult available , there is no emergency service and no vets in clinic.

We are off to an island with minimal reception, so in case of emergency, please go to nearest vet clinic, or KL hospital for after hours.

失胎的母亲 才知道 世间万般的痛与苦
是自己失去紧接着自己心跳的孩子。

Do you know Elephants have one of the longest gestation periods of all living species: nearly two years! And even then, when this poor mom kneel in the pain in the river till her death, I can only imagine how broken her heart is, and losing all will to live and trust again.

最近全球艺术家都画了一头母象。

事情发生在5月23号。

印度Kerala城邦的一头野生母象，
由于栖息地环境的极度恶化，
无法找到足够多食物的她，来到靠近人类村庄觅食。

果然，没多久她就收到了人类献上的“礼物”，
一个美味的凤梨。
谁知这凤梨里面早就被塞进炸药，
伴随着她的快速咀嚼吞咽，
迎接她的不是美味多汁的快乐，
而是剧烈的爆炸。

爆炸带来的烧灼疼痛，让她无法忍受。
最终母象奔跑来到河水中央，让自己的口鼻浸入河水，
一动也不动地站在那里。
虽然人道组织想了很多方法想让母象离开河道接受治疗，
也许是对人类失去信心，
一连4天她都站在河中央不愿离开，
最终5月27号不幸死亡。

而且在进行解剖后， 人们发现这头15岁的大象
，肚子里还怀着象宝宝，她是个年轻的孕妈妈。

动物权利活动家Maneka Gandhi泪流满面地说道：
「这是谋杀！ 大象是世界上最聪明的动物之一，
他们的智商相当于四五岁的孩子。

而人类凶手的这一罪行， 也引发全世界人们的声讨。

What will you do, when life gives you lemon?🍋 🆘

Well, not too long ago, clinic was given a handful of lemon-y situation. Like Murphy law, when s**t happens, it all got to happen together.

Some was made into lemonade, some into lemon pie, then there is those that squirts in your eyes and stings worse than a nasty cat bite. Not to mention, those who came close to squeeze right in your eyes, have to be relatively close and trustworthy to start with.

The anxiety and pain stirred by a particular case spiraled into multilayers of reflection and self-doubt amongst our clinic management. Maybe we were too naïve, and too trusting? Maybe this, perhaps that.

It is when the waves are soaring, and storm is pouring, Dr Loh say, We just hold on to our beliefs, and keep doing the right thing.

Or in other words, Berani Kerana Benar. And remember,

Do things for people not because of who they are, or what they do in return, but because of who you are. Everything will be okay.

Let there be more love and less lemon this July k 💓

We share a deep grievance with the all furry, scale-y, feathery about the recent fire at Bangkok that results in over thousand of animals lives lost.

We believe all animals go to Heaven to meet their Creator and they will be free from all pain and sufferings.

We hope that small miracles are out there, and maybe some escaped, injured but fighting strong 💓

Today another expecting client spoke to us about her concern for having a baby and pet dog at home.

She has all the common worry that we hear all too often and sadly sometimes couples re home their furry one before baby arrives.

If you asked Zoey & Arna, oh well, their best friend that is there, dawn till dusk, on bike or slow stroll, will always be Mali.

One day they will proudly say, My best friend has 4 legs. And that includes their Jerry putty cat 💗💗

There are many ways to celebrate the end of the year.

And this year, besides and before the gang head out for a big makan, Ms Gan had carefully arranged for a *never enough time and training* that focus on .

Most of us enter this field due to the fiery passion and care for animals, and then we realised at the end of the day, we still need to face the clients and at stressful times, some don’t know what to say, causing good intentions to be swerve.

( example:- your dog is very old, to proceed with surgery I need to do blood test). At a wrong tone, it may sound like, the vet is demanding for extra charge and not because it’s the right thing to do 😌😥

One of the best training exercise was the *No No Challenge*, which is how to say No, without saying no.

Client X:- Miss, I want go dinner first, I know you close at 6pm but can I come a bit later 🤔🤔🙄🙄🙃🙃

It was fun, it was casual and informative and it was indeed a great way to sum up how we continuously want the best for your pet, and building a trusting relationship with everyone ❤️❤️ it was definitely a good detox / team building for us to discuss all

I asked Zoey few weeks ago what she wants for Christmas and she said:- I want a clinic shirt so I can be a vet just like papa ❤️

It was such a warm and fuzzy answer, so we made her dream come true !

No longer Santa little helper; but Dr Loh little helper to be 🤭🤭 and as she put it on saying :- I am a vet like papa! That’s the best gift ever really 😍

The other night, Dr Loh brought back his patient that needed intensive care and assistance. (Bringing patient home is not encouraged and not a price determined act, and highly determined by doctor themselves 😅)

With the help of Netflix, Dr Loh managed to stay up and nursed the cat himself. From as flat as cardboard post op, that little fighter actually gain strength and appetite next morning.

Zoey was so excited with sparkly eyes seeing her in action, she even offered the cat her breakfast.

When I first read the concept of Ikigai, I told Yung Shing, you are very lucky. I believe you are at your Ikigai.

And he said, “ How you know I got itch at my back?” He thought I meant Itchy-guy.

I am in awe with this simple man whom after years being Veterinarian, staying out of bed and staying up late just like time never changed him, and that very compassion shine on to inspire Zoey. Mali, she is just being kepo. 🤣

As we near the end of 2023; may we all find our Ikigai and not be beaten by Monday Blues 💝

No trick or treat for My Animal Clinic this Halloween.
No sexy nurse, dirty doctor or scary pumpkin.

The only bloody thing today is in house health screening for everyone 🤭😂😝 and a little bit of p*e ^.^

It’s silly right. We always tell owners to screen their senior dogs or cats annually and yet most of the staff had never done any health screen (maybe they still young la), we wanted Dr Gian to come dressed as Dracula 🧛‍♂️ for the blood collection but , 😂 maybe next year then !

250 dogs, vaccinated , de wormed and de tick.
These are not your usual furry cute domesticated puppy dogs, maybe some are, but mostly wild stray that are rescued and fearful of human.

The best team went out, and almost all are injured, wounded and back with battle scars.

But thank you to not just our team, but the sponsors and people behind who make NGO shelter possible; where these dogs are given medical care, food and a chance to live fairly.
