So grateful to meet a lovely couple from UK who have been rescuing cats in the Middle East for 20 years. With their friends, they raised generous donations of food and funds for the Cat Beach Cats.

Just another day in the life of a rescue cat! And once a month, treatment for protection against parasites. Very grateful for the gift of boxes of Advocate Spoton which treats both internal and external parasites - otherwise we have to go thru the stress of trying to spray a cat with flea spray and stuff an antiparasite pill in its mouth. So much easier this way.

Rejoice in the little things.Thanks to Ms Bee of Hugs N Mugs, these 4 tints were rescued. Momcat Lilac immediately took them on. Then Ms Suki joined her. The babies will be well taken care of.

Cat Beach Cat SUKI has a 6th rectal prolapse surgery and was also spayee yesterday. The veterinarisn at Windsor Animal.Hospital says she is bright and eating well and can come home with some meds. Cat Beach could not afford the more expensive colopexy surgery that would stop prolapsing but we are so relieved she got stitched up in time.
Rectal and vaginal prolapses happen - if you ever see something unusual happening at a cat's back end, please rush it to a vet. After 8 to 12 hours, exposed intestines will start to go necrotic - the tissues will die. But cats can be saved if caught in time.

Cat Beach Sanctuary has embarked on an ambitious plan to vaccinate and desex as many of the rescued cats that come to the sanctuary as possible. Almost all arrive sick, injured or simply traumatized by their experiences so rehab nursing is essential. When healthy, they can go for their 1st vaccinations but then must wait another month for the booster shot. At age 6 months or older, the cats becomee eligibile for their desexing surgeries - Cat Beach works with Windsor Animal Hospital on discount surgeries for strays - we call it "OP;ERATION SNIPSNIP." Please understand Cat Beach is ‘the last resort.’ Please try to care for a cat in need yourself or find it a home where it will receive good care. We have lots of hints on how to find an adopter -- you could start by registering the cat on www.petfinder.com.my. Please if you possibly can, take the cat or kitten to a veterinarian for health check and vaccination. Then if after you have sincerely tried other options and the cat still has nowhere to go, there is Cat Beach. For pregnant and nursing momcats or kittens under 6 weeks, please contact us right away as it may be a matter of life or death for a kitten.
