True to the root 🦷🦷🦷
Who wants to pay for
some really EXPENSIVE dental care
in your horse/s? ☝️
Here’s how: 👨🏫👍
1) pay for a cheap , non-transparent dental exam & treatment (ie you don’t get a chance to see/feel inside the mouth and individual teeth/gums/bars/tongue/palate/cheeks etc ). 🦷🧑🦯
2) your horse continues to feel pain & not utilise its food efficiently,
to not settle with bit contact,
to feel pain on its 60,000 chews per day and so graze only enough to survive, but not to thrive! 🐴💪
3) you spend lots of $ on feed, supplements etc over months and months trying to help your horse whilst assuming your horse’s mouth is great 😩❌
BELOW is a example whereby the 10 yo horse “had its dental at pony club late last year, yet continued to stick head in air with bit contact, get agitated going trot to canter etc. “
Fact is that not only was it :
A) a waste of $100 😩
B.) horse kept suffering 😥
C) lost time to enjoy horse 👎
D) wasted $ on other supplements trying to solve the behavioural issues. 🚮
E) horse loses confidence and trust in the bit , the riding experience and the rider! They start to resent YOU!!! 😈,
but also
F) The continued stress to the horse can contribute to other issues eg glandular stomach ulcers😥
G) If you want the painful problems fixed, you have to find someone and pay them too! 😩
The same scenario could be applied to hoof care etc.
It reminds me of the saying “the poor man always pays twice!” 😥
Choose wisely - cheaper is not always the best! 👍
Remember that YOU are your horse’s #1 welfare advocate - to allow him/her to be the best version of themselves in life!
If you can’t see and understand what’s being done in their mouth, how can you truly know???
Who would be interested in a day of free dental check ups , where you can see & feel in there, for horses that had “dentals done” in the past 6 months???
