Javanese Rice Fish
Oryzias javanicus

Javanese Rice Fish are small, delicate fish with a streamlined body. They typically exhibit a silvery or translucent appearance with subtle iridescence. Males often display more vibrant colors and can have more pronounced fin extensions during breeding periods.

Behavior : Javanese Rice Fish are peaceful and social, often found in small schools or groups. They display active swimming behavior and are known for their gentle nature.
Care : In an aquarium setting, they do well in tanks with plenty of plant cover and gentle filtration. Mimicking their natural habitat with a soft substrate and ample hiding places will help them thrive. They prefer a well-planted aquarium with areas of both light and shade.
