If you adopt a pet, it's forever. It's a family member. You don't give a child away because you want to move or someone in the family is sick. You care for the child no matter what sacrifices you have to make. Unless the owner is literally out on the street or permanently disabled, there's no excuse. Pets are family. Period. Anyone who disagrees with that deserves all the judgement they get.

Zahara passed away Tuesday, August 13, killed by a car on the highway when she ran from her foster home. She was a sweet beautiful girl who was let down by almost everyone she knew. All she ever wanted was a safe, quiet place where she could be loved and she never got that.
Abandoned in a cage when she was just 3 months old, then kept in a cage for another 2 months. Moved to one boarding place for a couple of weeks where she was badly treated and just huddled together with her brother and sister for comfort. Then she went to another boarding house for 5 months and she had some fond memories there even though she never completely came out of her shell.
She was always scared at adoption drives and wanted to hide. She never got a single inquiry in all this time. I despise the people who looked down on her and wouldn't even consider her because she looks too common. She had beautiful, soulful eyes and a lovely black pattern on her back and tail. She was calm and gentle and would have been a wonderful family member. If you ever saw her at an adoption drive or online and passed over her because of her looks or because she was shy, shame on you!
Going to a foster home seemed like a great chance for her because she could finally get some individual attention and start to come out of her shell.
But Zahara ran away after 2 days at the foster home. We were searching day and night with her brother Maddox, but we couldn't find her. There were only a few of us searching, unfortunately.
She was hit by a car on the highway on Tuesday morning, August 13. We didn't find out until Wednesday morning. She was just lying there and no one cared. The informer said she didn't want to look and just wanted someone to take it away. No respect even for her body. We can only hope she didn't suffer too much. RIP, Zahara. I'm so sorry we let you down.

These beautiful dogs were abandoned in a cage by a cruel person when they were just three months old. Now Maddox, Shiloh and Zahara are 9 months old, neutered and vaccinated. Shiloh is very outgoing and loves children, perfect for a family. Maddox is playful and active, happy to make friends with other dogs. Zahara is the most timid and needs some love to warm up to people, but is quite gentle and sweet.
Will you give one a forever home or even foster one? Despite sharing almost every day and countless adoption drives, not a single person has been kind enough to adopt or offer to foster. Their boarding costs are high so they don't have much time left. They don't deserve to spend the rest of their lives in a shelter.

S*x with your sibling is called in**st and is illegal in almost all 50 states. S*x with your sibling or other close relations, if you are a dog, is called inbreeding, and inbreeding is part of the practice of pure-breeding dogs.

We may not mean to, but we are hurting the dogs we claim to love.

News flash! We don't have any poodles or any other fancy little in**ed dogs. And if you're the kind of shallow, small-hearted person who only wants a certain breed, you don't deserve a dog.

Maddox, Shiloh, and Zahara's story: These three babies were dumped in front of a rescuer's house in a cage in January, trembling and traumatized. The rescuer didn't have the capacity to care for them as she already had too many, and they were kept in the cage most of the time. When I went to visit them in February, they were huddling together in the cage, afraid of humans. I couldn't stand to see them like that.
In March, we sent them to a boarding house where they're coming out of their shells. Maddox and Shiloh even do a little happy dance for their food as you can see in the video!
Zahara is still a bit timid but she's gradually warming up. Two weeks ago they went to their first adoption drive at Jaya One. Can you help them find their forever homes where they'll always be loved and cared for?

UPDATE: Jasper was adopted on August 11!

Jasper is a handsome, regal boy who's selective about his friends. If he loves you, he'll love you forever. He followed his rescuer into her house and decided he was staying. Unfortunately she's allergic and didn't want to keep him 😢
I just started fostering him recently and he's friendly with me but is not too fond of his new roommate, Cyrus He'd really love to have his own quiet home. Can you give him one? He's neutered and vaccinated. Adopters will be interviewed and must agree to keep him indoors.
