Part 3 of 'Know Your Little Pickle' - Collars

𝟏. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 & 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬?
Collars are important for displaying identification information or tracking devices on your pet at all times. If an unattented pet is seen with a collar, it usual prompts further action or checks in case it is a missing pet. We continue to see such cases and more pronounced during festive seasons with fireworks.

𝟐. 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫? 💡
There are many differing views on this. Generally it is okay to walk your pet using just a collar attached to a leash. However, one must take into consideration the temprement and behaviour of the pet. If your pet is a strong tugger or still very young or small, we do not encourage walking with a collar.

Whilst there are special training collars, for example, training chains, they should not be used on a dog beyond training and guidance.

𝟑. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝
Our collars are made from 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 material to ensure your pet is comfortable even when kept on. Rough nylon and poor stitching on inferior products can result in rashes and chafing on your pet's neck.

Part 2 of 'Know Your Little Pickle'. Besides certain design aesthethic features, the leash or lead is primarily an 'instrument' of the walker (You). It is the main contact between you and your pet during walks. We always keep that in mind for our design choices.

𝟏. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐤?
Again, convenience. The single release hook is a simple construct yet a tried and tested design. It is also the 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 when getting your fur friend hooked up with only your thumb without the need to unscrew or push in. We have tested against different mechanism designs and still find that this simple design works best in most situations. That said, a locking hook (screw in) design may be needed for very large dogs that are fond tuggers.

𝟐. 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐩
This is the stress point for the walker with constant pressure on the hands. So we made sure our handle loops are well padded with soft touch material for added 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 ☁️🪶 Say goodbye to rope burns 🔥

𝟑. 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬?
It is designed for the outdoors. Our Classic Leash is made from washable 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐝𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 material for convenience when it gets too dirty. Dries in just a few hours ☀️

It's been a quiet few weeks, so we decided to do a short 'Know Your Little Pickle' recap. Every part and design choice is carefully thought out with our fur friends and pawrents in mind. Well of course our CEO goes through R&D as well ⭐️

𝟭. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲? 𝗜𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝟮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭?
Convenience. Most pets, especially ones new to harnesses, will likely resist or active ones move a lot when putting on. The single buckle allows 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 and 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 locking without compromise with its sturdy 𝟰-𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.

𝟮. 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
We understand that there is no 'one-size' fits all. With different body shapes and structures, there is a need to allow as much adjustability as possible to get a good fit. Our Adjustable Harness has 𝟮 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 for the neck section to 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 and tightening to secure it, while a single slider to adjust the chest section.

𝟯. 𝗜𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺?
The soft neoprene material and breathable air mesh on the inside keeps your buddy cool and comfy.

𝟯. 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀?
Harnesses are made for your fur friends to stretch their legs and enjoy the outdoors. Of course they would get dirty but that's okay. Our Adjustable Harness is made from 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗱𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 material and is 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵 (that'll be a separate post for another day). Dries in just a few hours ☀️
