Sunny 🌞 Ahad late morning
This was a senior DSH neuter that was presented more than 2 months ago with a non healing moist wound behind its left ear.
Whence it was positive for sporotrichosis, it took more than 2 months to look almost back to “normal”. However in order to avoid recurrence, the cat has to be on medication for another 8-12 weeks.

Recall the DLH/Persian cross that was attacked or vice versa with a civet cat? Today is Day 2 taking the day of presentation/attack as Day 0, we may not do the eye removal/enucleation, but instead do a 3rd eyelid flap. And we shall monitor in the next 2-3 weeks after the removal of the 3rd eyelid flap.
In sha Allah all goes well!

Cloudy Sabt’ late afternoon
This cat had its right eye removed just now because of deep cornel ulceration that had caused much damage and infection of that eye in general.

Sunny 🌞 Ithnin late morning
When this 8 year old pooch was presented slightly more than 2 weeks ago, it was alert but there appeared to be of a metastatic type of growth from the nasal cavity and compressing the upper soft palate and sadly there were maggots too!
Growth mainly in the nasal cavity, extending to the left eye (medial canthus) and to the soft palate and gums.
The owner was however concerned on costs, X-rays and blood workout are currently being placed on hold, and we did inform the owner of referring this case to the veterinary school with the resident veterinary oncologist who will be best to affirm the diagnosis and possibilities of treatment.
Allahualam.
For now we are managing on symptomatic treatment. So far it is eating very well and with daily wound cleaning, the swelling has regressed, and maggots removed.

Cloudy 🌥️ Ahad afternoon
This 6 year old FIV positive neuter was presented with “recurrent” FURD with conjunctivitis on its left eye a week ago however there was wheezing lung sounds and cat was rather snorting.
Upon hospitalisation there were episodes of abdominal and open mouth breathing.
Past and current X-rays more or less confirmed there was tracheal collapse on the cervicothoracic area. Sadly there is no direct medication to cure the flattened trachea.
Currently on supportive treatment (steroid, bronchodilator, antibiotic, mucosolvent).
At the moment, cat is doing okay and eating. However on maintenance- ideally soft food served elevated, regular nebulising (reduce phlegm accumulation), also minimal handling to reduce stress. Highly recommended to be on the long term puff inhaler unless owner opts for invasive surgical procedure.

This French bull dog has had this most dermatitis callous formation around its left pressure point near its hip joint for months and owner has decided to remove it, however still contemplating to do a biopsy or not to rule out tumours.

Recall the stray kitten that was rescued and presented at the clinic about 3 months ago with supposedly a barbed wire wrapped around its belly and some of you iDIOtS went berserked after the post about it was shared amongst some of you! Next time READ the post before jumping to ridiculous conclusions!
Well, the rescuer cm owner did not wish for any stitching up but of course it will take time to heal, and alhamdulillah all is progressing VERY well, in sha Allah.

This is a DSH neuter under treatment for sporotrichosis, the open wounds have more or less subsided and closed, but notice the bulgy nose?
Sporotrichosis is a sporadic, chronic, granulomatous disease of humans and various domestic and laboratory animals due to Sporothrix species.
Infection usually results from direct inoculation of the organism into skin wounds via contact with plants, soil, or penetrating foreign bodies, and commonly amongst fighting outdoor Tom cats!
Non healing ulcerated wounds to nodular lumps are the typical lesions in cats and are usually mostly often found on the head, especially the bridge of the nose and the ear pinnae.
