Few weeks back we were visited by "Ah Girl" who was having egg binding problem. After few injections of oxytocin, she cant managed to deliver out normally as too many eggs inside her! Hence, we did C-Sec and spay her together upon owner concern.
Total of 40 eggs were out and Ah Girl was successfully undergo the surgery and recover happily ✨ The last photo is recent photo of her suture site🙌🏻

In veterinary medicine, we come across many types of wounds including bite wounds, ruptured abscesses, surgical wounds, and abrasion/self inflicted wounds. Each wound has its own way to be addressed as long as we can ensure adequate cleaning, blood circulation and oxygen for the best wound healing results. For wounds that are contaminated or infected, further cleaning or debridement is needed before we can determine it to be treated as an open wound or to close it up. Wounds that are minimally contaminated/infected or were produced under clean conditions (eg. surgery) can be closed up and managed as a closed wound. Abrasions are usually not able to be closed up so then are treated as open wounds. Wounds with pockets such as seromas or abscesses will need to be kept open to provide a channel for the fluids to escape and additionally compression bandages and drainage tubes can be applied to keep the fluid from building up in the wound. Last but not least, the most important part of wound management is making sure our animals cant lick or scratch the area, so cones are definitely a must!
