Marking can be a nuissance for cat owners as the behaviour causes bad odor in your house.

The triggers are mentioned in the post. And behind it all is that the cats are feeling threatened or stressed.

The key to the problem is keeping your cat calm and happy. Calm and happy cats can live a long healthy life. So How do we keep them calm?

1. Neutering
This reduces the hormones that are related to aggression and territorial behavior thus reducing marking by up to 90%

So what about the other 10%

2. Synthetic pheromone diffuser/spray
These pheromone will calm them. And reduces undesired behavioral issues.

If all have been tried, but marking is still occuring. Consult your veterinarian as this could be a sign of disease.
