Dog with an unknown reason of sudden flare of a ‘pointy’ growth on the forehead lately. Owner opted to remove as it was growing in size for the past months.
Surgical intervention carried out, went well👍🏽.
Buttttttt……didn’t aspect his final outlook with a ‘chonmage’ hairstyle !!🙏🏽🤪

Case of suspected Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) /Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex (EGC).

Cat was presented with non healing crusty wound on the left ear for months. Non responsive to medications.
Surgical removal of the affected tissue was done for better solution.

UNILATERAL CHERRY EYE (Right)

Prolapse third eyelid gland or better known as ‘Cherry Eye’ is quite commonly seen in certain breeds due to predisposed genetic factor, also it can happen uni/bilaterally due to trauma at the eye region, sudden movement which might cause injury to the eyelid muscle layers etc..

Surgical correction is one of the most opted steps after weighing up pros and cons of each patient’s conditon.

Picture above, one of the recent cases presented to us; suspected cherry eye due to trauma (self-infliction) by the dog. Owner believe could be result of irritant reaction from residue of shampoo…

A very interesting case presented to us, typical presentation of a cat infected with Sporotrichosis@ Sporo (type of fungal disease). Commonly mistaken for cat bite wounds, traumatic injuries , etc..

To all cat owners/handlers out there, be CAUTIOUS when you encounter cats with such lesions especially if you notice long standing non healing wounds on them.

On the serious note of this disease, it is ZOONOTIC ! Can be transmitted to humans ! Most of the time , Sporo can be easily transmitted via infected cat scratches/bites, fresh open wound contact with that of cats. So..BEWARE while handling. Protect yourselves with gloves as first line precaution.

**Managed to obtain sampling for microscopic check. Characteristic features of Sporo under cytology (clusters of grapes like)**
