Our aim is to save lives by finding loving forever homes for existing shelter and rescue animals. What does "Name your Adoption Fee" mean? No.: 802 180 6112

This is a unique concept, inspired by Woof Project in Cape Town, whereby there is no set adoption fee. We provide a guideline, but how much you donate towards the adoption of your new furry family member, is your decision. Our adoption donation covers a check up, the dewormer, two vaccinations and sterilization. Even if you are not adopting, any donation big or small will enable us to continue sav

📢 This is why we DO NOT REHOME UNDER 8 WEEKS , ❣️

On Saturday morning our pale ginger gave us a huge fright! 😖

He went from drinking well, crawling around and voicing himself to none responsive and completely weak over night! Literally!!!
He could not even hold his head up straight. 😖

The bacterial infection was severe and there was very little hope. 😢

Finding a blood vessel of a three week old kitten to insert a catheter is a challenge on its own. Thank you, Dr. Etienne, for winging that challenge. 🐾💕
Fighting the infection and pulling him through was the next challenge. 😷.

Our little Hercules was seperated from his mommy and siblings at an age of only two weeks. Due to human interference he never had the chance to build a strong immunity through his mommy's milk as well as a vital sibling companionship needed for physical health. 😞

MY HEART BEATS LIKE A JUNGLE DRUM ❣️💗

“Hi! My name is Pichu….or Pikachu, Machu Picchu, Peugeot, Piccolo, Peets-Poots, Peach….! 😻

My brothers and I got rescued by Triglav Trust at the Parliament Gardens when we were about four weeks old. 🐾

I was born with a hole in my heart between the left and right ventricle chambers,💔 meaning that my oxygen rich blood mixes with my oxygen poor blood in my heart. My heart needs to pump extra hard to supply my body with enough oxygen. 💓

There is no medical treatment for my heart and I was so desperately hoping that the hole in my heart would close by itself .... like in so many other similar cases.

But it didn’t! 💔 My heart still races in my chest and in time it will become too big! 😿

I am a very active kitten, but get tired very quickly. I love to sleep on my foster mommy’s lap and during the night, when my foster family is asleep, I sneak onto their bed and under their duvet to snuggle with them. 💖

My foster family told me, that they love me so much and that I am the cutest boy ever. 🥰😻💖🐾
I have a home with them for as long as my heart allows me to live!" 🏡🐾💕

JUST WONDERING :
Are my siblings still alive ? 💔

This little munchkin was surrendered and put into the care of an experienced foster mommy after he and his siblings were found in a warehouse and given away to whoever wanted a free kitten. 😢

At an estimated age of not older than two weeks, kittens are still very depended on their mommy's milk and her gentle stimulation. 😪

Mommy's milk provides the kitten with the necessary nutrients to help them build a strong immune system. Taking the kittens away from their mommy means that their immunity will be compromised and mommy cat suffers from mastitis, a painful inflammation of the mammary glands. 😢

This is why all animal welfare organisation sound like broken records. The only way to stop the cruelty and suffering among cats and dogs is by sterilising all our pets. 🐱🐶

‼️ HOLDING ONTO MY HUMAN!❣️

When the owners of the beautiful Seal Point female cat moved, they left her behind – unsterilised! 😫 She was sterilised by Have-a-Heart Namibia and luckily soon found the perfect new home; a home, where she would never have to go through the trauma of being abandoned again. 🏡

Adopting an adult cat can be incredibly rewarding. They offer amazing companionship and have so much more to offer than little kittens. Kittens will be cute little kitten for a very short time before they are young adults too. 😻

Adult cats are so much smarter. They are so grateful for getting a third chance in life and form much stronger bonds with their humans, spending much more time being curled up in their humans lap. 🐾💖

Just have a look at Chloe holding onto her human, Angelique Leff ! Does she not look like the happiest cat on earth?!🥰😻

Bubu's Animal Haven is an animal sanctuary where mostly older, rescued, and homeless animals retire, have a peaceful life, and are well cared for.

I do not normally rehome animals. The other day, however, I took over 7 puppies to rescue them from euthenasia. 3 puppies got rehomed, but these 4 Staffie x puppies urgently need homes as well. Neither me nor their foster mom have the facilities to keep that many dogs. They are over 2 months old already.

It starts to become a crisis. The place to keep them; they get bigger; they eat more and cost a lot of money. Currently, Otjiwarongo SPCA helps me with a kennel to keep them temporarily. Thank you, Otjiwarongo SPCA🙏

Their adoption fee is only N$ 850 (if handled through Bubu's) including the sterilization and two vaccinations (value about N$ 3000). You safe a lot!!!

Thank you, Snout Project Namibia , for advertising and handling the adoption, should it be outside the Otjiwarongo area. Yes, the puppies are willing to travel to wherever you are!

Please, please, open your hearts and adopt them🙏🙏! We can rescue them, but we need help from the public to give them loving homes. We cannot keep every animal we rescue; we need YOUR help as well. Otherwise we have to stop rescuing, and that we don't want to do.

Say "hello" to Matteo, our very brave and clever kitten. 😻

Matteo is the direct result of unsterilized cats. Born to a feral colony, he decided that he WILL NOT live a life in misery and suffering on the streets, never knowing where his next meal would come from. 👀

Therefore he decided to walk into a human's yard at the tender age of an estimated 8 weeks and cry for help. 😅

Fortunately he chose an animal loving family who immediately reached out for help. 💕

Matteo was placed in foster care and is now waiting for his family to take him home. 🐾

We do not know exactly who the daddy is; the staffie mommy is very secretive about that. We do know, that these are the cutest puppies. Their daddy must have been a handsome chap .💖

They were destined to be put to sleep when Bubu's Animal Haven came to their rescue. Karin in Otjiwarongo was willing to take them into her foster care. 🐾😊

Why? Only 20% of ginger cats are female! For this to happen a female ginger needs a fully ginger father and a ginger, calico or tortoiseshell mother.

Do you remember that tiny kitten that was found in the streets in Rehoboth? All alone! 😟
She was rescued by kind people and with the help of the perfect foster home was found. 😻

However this foster home turned out to be a foster fail. 🤭 Thank you, Brenda and family, for caring so much about Chia that you decided to give her a forever home. 🏡

The medical costs of the check up, deworm, two vaccinations and sterilisation are between NAD 3 000 and NAD 3 500 at a private vet. 👀

By adopting and paying an adoption fee, this basic medical care is provided FOR FREE‼️

📢 You will thus have a dewormed, fully vaccinated and sterilised kitten/cat by simply paying an adoption fee‼️

So why would anyone want a "for free kitten" ? 🤔🤔🤔

If you cannot afford the adoption fee, which is a saving of more than 50%, you most certainly cannot afford to provide your kitten/cat with the basic medical care it deserves at the private vet. 😕

Most of the time, rescue organisations have to rescue hundreds of kittens of those previous generations of kittens that were given away for free to “good homes” 🏡 that promised to sterilised and never did. 😩

Snout Project offers a “Name your Adoption Fee” to enable everyone to adopt on condition that the lifelong needs of the cat/ dog 🐕🐈 (medical and physical) can be met. 💖

It is thus important to mention that the home check (“Meet the Family”) is in the foreground. 🏡

An exhausting, yet exciting Spay Day with Dr. Baines, Dr. Chanel and the Mobile Animal Clinic - Namibia. Thank you for your hard and dedicated but much appreciated charity work. We are extremely proud of our NamSnout parents, who chose to adopt a rescue kitten and now had their NamSnout sterilized at our Spay Day for free. Yes.... for FREE!!!! The cost of the sterilization was included in the adoption fee and did not cost the parents a single cent!

Late December 2023 we received a food donation from Taeuber & Corssen, distributed by the Windhoek SPCA and delivered by FP Du Toit Transport. Can you guess my name? 🤭 Hint: My back is a real give-away! 🙄 "My thin legs were weak and shaky. I hadn't eaten for days and my tummy was painfully empty. I was hoping to find my mommy somewhere, but instead found myself on the Western Bypass. Cars rushed past me. I was scared and confused. Suddenly a car stopped and a lady climbed out. She stopped the traffic and picked me up. I was in such a state of shock that I didn't even try to run. She took me home, fed me and handed me into foster care where I feel safe now. I am learning to play, cuddle and live a carefree life. Soon I will be ready for adoption. I cannot wait to meet my forever family". 💕🐾
