Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I greet you all the great Isuofia people. Isuofia must have peace no matter the strength of the enemies within us. Things get worse when the elders keep quiet in a serious matter like this. My name is Chief Chukwudi Okoliachu I’m still Ozala indigene, after seeing the demonstration on Monday morning my heart started to bleed till now. I’ve read and listened to a lot of cries and huus from Isuofia people emanating from the protest embarked by APGA supporters in protest against the court action instituted against Hon. Okey Okoye. Let me make things clear once again pls don’t hastily condemn my contribution pls read and digest. IPA doesn’t have anything to do in this case bcs this is pure politics and we Isuofia people under IPA is not a member of one political party neither did we ask any citizen of Isuofia to go and register in any political party or to become their candidate.
We Isuofia never promised any candidate that we will fight to protect his candidacy but we must support all the candidates without fear or favour then if the person wins we celebrate with him or her and we take the glory together as our own.
All the candidates during campaign were busy accusing each other of incompetence even many of them lied against each other we know this is politics and it’s normal that’s why if you don’t have strong shock absorber you dare not venture into politics bcs some of them are so deadly that they can kill. Politics is interest centred and it’s highly expensive and you can only recover this money if you win. During the electioneering campaign a lot of things go under during campaign, only the top managers of each camp fights to protect the loopholes of failure. Majority of our people are so backward when you come to politics bcs they play it with emotions. There’s no morality in politics there’s no brother or sister in politics theirs no sentiment in politics there’s no friend in politics, politics is game of wits and interests, in politics no trust without commitment, in politics you have to be ready to keep negotiating even as you’ve won. A lot of people went to court against buhari but most of them has backed out since do you know why? The answer is NO. Pls read carefully I have the opportunity to get early information about some alleged irregularities in Hon. Okey Documents which he filled with INEC I informed him (Hon. Okey) through one of his top managers because he’s not close to me then when he got the information he called me and I advised him on what I heard he told me it’s a campaign propaganda from his opponents camp that he doesn’t have anything fishy about his academic qualifications and I went about my normal duties. I owe him a duty as a junior brother to give him first hand information about anything bad I hear that may truncate his ambition. After the election he won after some time I heard Ndubuisi Osele a PDP candidate and PDP has petitioned the tribunal against Hon. Okey Okoye. I immediately got his phone number and called Ndubuisi booked appointment and went to see him the same day in his house at Isuofia. He told me his grievances why he’s challenging Okey’s victory in court. I repeatedly appealed to him to forget this case he refused. I asked him what if I involved the managers of Okey campaign and Okey himself will he accept to receive us to negotiate and settle the matter he told me he knows the managers that they will never do that and I left, I called one of the managers and told him that the best thing is to negotiate with Ndubusi not bcs he’s right but bcs there’s no need of the case but they never tried to see him instead they resorted to name calling and gossiping which never settles anything than to damage possible ways of easy settlement. On Saturday the 16th June 2019 I have the privilege to be with Hon Okey camp again after escorting Igwe on his visit to Itah Okoye’s house. As Igwe left the occasion I told my brothers clearly that this is neither Ozalla project no Isuofia project bcs it’s completely political differences that’s what Hon. Okey and Ndubuisi Osele has what we need to do is to call some influential people of Isuofia to go and visit Ndubuisi so we can plead and beg him to forget about this court matter if Okey supports not because he Ndubuisi will win but for peace to reign. I told two of the major players in Okey camp. We scheduled to meet on Sunday the 17th June 2019 by 6pm in Itah Okoye’s house to discuss and select people from all the six villages to go and beg Ndubuisi to drop the case for our interest and also compel the PDP to Shiite their sword and settle. I even said if it requires involvement of money we should try to know what we can do.But surprisingly I was at Itah’s house the next day Sunday 17th June 2019 6pm but no one was there I called some of the managers there was no positive response. On Monday morning I heard there was demonstration by youth against Ndubuisi that’s why I say my heart bleeds. Let me say it to all of us “you cannot get peace through intimidation” you can only aggravate the situation because it’s pure political interests of both of them. As I was listening to the protesters they were shouting we don’t want Ndubuisi to be Onowu again and placards with inscription (we don’t want Ndubuisi to be Onowu again) which rubbished the whole demonstration and betray the sponsors the demonstration. Onowuship by the IPA interim constitution is the right of Umueze village in particular and for Isuofia town in general. Now in Umueze the post of Onowu was contested and Ndubuisi won and IPA has certified him and presented to Isuofia people and Isuofia approved it. So my brothers what IPA constitutional provision or provisions has Ndubuisi Osele (Onowu elect) violeted or breached? If none then what triggered the demonstration? During the Onowuship campaign some people did not want him as a good choice and did not vote for him but he won now if you read and listen to the protesters, what they were particularly shouting was Ndubuisi will not be Onowu again. Pls someone’s personal interest should not derail us. Atiku is in court against buhari and they are both Fulani and nothing is stopping Atiku from answering fmr Vice President or seize to be Turakin Adamawa and when Peter Obi of APGA then was in court against Ngige Benji Uba was with APGA and was still in peace with his brother Everist of PDP without rancour. The young boys who went on rampage was doing that after being radicalised by the APGA party managers. God forbid I’m not in support of Ndubuisi challenging Hon Okey in court but if you cannot negotiate in politics then don’t drag us into it. I heard the matter is about certificates falsification which is very easy to prove then if you and your party is jittery about the case go and negotiate that’s how it’s done everywhere and people don’t know why politicians speak from both sides of their mouth the reason is they change their position after negotiation and talk yes after saying no😀. Honestly this demonstration can even be damaging to the case. Politics is all about negotiation, negotiations and negotiations bcs if you don’t want the court you negotiate with ndubuisi and if his lawyer didn’t come and your lawyer didn’t come the tribunal will strike out the case immediately without costs. But going to people and be complaining doesn’t make sense. And do not allow yourself to be used by the hate mongers to hijack your ambition and use it to through our town in turmoil again bcs it will not be good for you and your family. Those who are saying the person who’s Onowu supposed not to do this or that is wrong bcs it’s not yet in our constitution that Onowu wouldn’t play partisan politics since it’s not there in the constitution he have absolute right to do what he’s doing. My dear brothers I know some of you maybe surprised but any day I stop to say things as they are please start looking for coffin ⚰ that’s sign death. Anyogu’s presentation is what I’ve been asking for but it’s rather coming too late these words are what we would have say face to face with the Onowu elect and not haphazard demonstration. But I still believe no hope is lost only if the agents who are actually feeding from Okey camp will allow peace to be brokered nothing is impossible. They may not like to tell him the truth bcs some of them are feeding fat through this. I completely condemn the statement of Anyogu against Ndubuisi concerning what happened many years ago in Umueze it’s mean to settle but to create more anger bcs it’s not the subject matter. I suggest IPA and Igwe make it clear that this is pure politics and cannot associate it with the town union program while consigned people behave themselves and look for way out of this. IPA should let people know something in this confusion bcs their silence is dangerous. What created Isuofia problem was individual egos and (ka mu di kamdi nwo ). Thank you very much for reading. A TIME FOR CONSOLIDATION IN ANAMBRA STATE.

(When a good and solid foundation is laid the structure stands the test of time).

When the Enugu Appeal Court nullified the election of Dr Chris Ngige as governor of Anambra state in 2006 and brought in the legitimate government of APGA led by Mr Peter Obi, it took him two years to plan and another two years to lay the basic foundation for the development of the state. Mr Peter Obi took time to plan, analyze and lay the foundation and started the ex*****on. Mr Obi had his priorities and blueprint which was majorly on the economy and road infrastructure. Mr Peter Obi consolidated the development in his second term as governor. This is the reason for his wonderful performance as the governor of Anambra state.

At the inception of his administration, His Excellency Chief Dr Willie M. Obiano showcased his priorities around 4 pillars of development and 12 enablers which are pivotal to the classical development of Anambra state. The 4 pillars are as follows:

1. AGRICULTURE

2. INDUSTRIALIZATION

3. TRADE AND COMMERCE

4. OIL AND GAS

However, these four pillars of development however could not be achieved if critical enablers like security and infrastructure were not in place. It is worthy to mention that after the civil war, Anambra state became a horrible zone with record of the highest number of brigandage, kidnap cases and hooliganism in Nigeria. Successive governments and some organized groups tried to fight crime and criminality through some unorthodox means without success.

Measures like the Onitsha "BOYS OYE, OMATA BOYS and BAKASSI BOYS" are still fresh in the memories of Ndi Anambra. But none of these unorthodox method solved the problem of insecurity in the state. Even the erstwhile Onitsha branch chairman of Nigerian Bar Association (Barnabas Igwe)and his pregnant wife were allegedly killed by these unorthodox outfit. Also the erstwhile Nnewi South Local Government Chairman of All Peoples Party (APP) Chief De Doga of Ekwulumili also reportedly died in the hands of these unorthodox security outfit.

The height of the insecurity in the state was recorded when a sitting governor now a minister, Dr Chris Ngige was kidnapped, slapped, kicked and beaten like a small boy in kindergarten. In fact, there was total breakdown of law and order in the state. Most public institutions and installations were burnt down by the criminals and brigands and up till now, nobody had been arraigned before the court of competent jurisdiction for these atrocities committed against the state.

Thankfully the era of wanton acts of criminality in Anambra is over. Such things are no longer happening under Akpkuodike's watch. Anambra juzili oyi. Ndi afia a na-azu. Ndi madu a na-enwe añuli. With security of lives and property and stability, industries started opening up. Investors started trooping into the state. Employment opportunities are being created. Economy started contrasting while the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the government started improving.

Before now nothing was going well in the area of agriculture. The food programme on the state was on auto pilot. There was no agricultural blue print for the state. The ministry existed by default. They only shared grants and soft loans given by the development partners and the Federal Government to their brothers, friends and political allies while ignoring the main objective of receiving the funds. Those outstanding loans have crystallized and gone bad long ago. The sticky loans are now standing against the state at the Central Bank of Nigeria. Yet, the immediate past administration presented a green balance sheet position to the world at the end of their tenure without taking into cognizance those loans collected for agricultural purposes. Today, the tune has changed with Akpokuodike taking agriculture as a serious business.

Convinced that agriculture is one of the highest employer of labour in the world, Governor Obiano made agriculture a priority ministry. He engaged a commissioner that has the technical know how in the area of sophisticated agriculture and mechanization. The result is that Anambra is now known for massive rice, yam and vegetable production. Anambra is the first state in Nigeria that developed a world class rice brand that is known as "ANAMBRA RICE". Akpokuodike has attracted massive investments into the agricultural sector in Anambra state. In specific term, Coscharis Farms in Anaku, Novtec Farms in Ndikelionwu, Josan Agro in Omor and Ufuma,Ekcel farms in Omasi, Songhai/Delfarms in Igbariam, Lynden farms also in Igbariam. Anambra is tops amongst the food producing states in Nigeria. Today, Anambra yam is the most sought-after yam in America. Our vegetables are still making waves in European markets. Anambra is the first state to sign on to E-FARM initiative. Everybody is going back to farming in Anambra state courtesy of Akpokuodike's sincere support to the sector. A naghi enyo eziokwu enyo.

In Trade and Commerce, Chief Obiano has accelerated the trade and commerce aspect of the pillars. Before now, it is very difficult for a trader in Onitsha and Nnewi to bring down their goods from Lagos Wharf to Onitsha and Nnewi. There are over 20 customs check points on the road extorting monies from the traders thereby making things very difficult for these traders. Our traders have been encountering untold hardships from the hands of these custom officers. But Akpokuodike went to the customs and negotiated the check points down to the barest minimum. Akpokuodike also met with the authorities of the Central Bank of Nigeria to seek for a concessionary forex rate for traders in Anambra state and the discussion is still in progress. Chief Obiano also pressured Ethiopian Airlines which is the only international airline plying Enugu airport to have a desk in Onitsha in order to ease the hiccups encountered by the traders whenever they want to travel. In Anambra Aerotropolis project, there is a plan to build International Business and Industrial park that can accommodate manufacturers from China who will produce and sell to Nigerians at the same rate they sell in China. Besides, His Excellency also has in mind to make Anambra state top 3 states in trade and commerce. There are expansions in markets and establishments of modern shopping malls in the state. Also Trade and Commerce is generating thousands of employments to the youths of Anambra state.

There is the need for Ndi Anambra to support Akpokuodike to consolidate on the gains of his first term. We can't change the winning team in the middle of the March. As Prof Chukwuma Soludo queried, "If not broken, why mend it"?

An aspirant to the governorship election coming up on the 18th of November, 2017 under All Progressives Congress APC, Chief George Muoghalu had described the food-is-ready Politicians causing all manners of problem in APC Anambra State as PDP agents of doom sent to destabilise their party APC and destroy it's foundation in Anambra State. Chief Muoghalu made this assertion at the home of Chief Samson Okonkwo at Nsugbe when he paid him a courtesy visit as a vibrant and loyal Stakeholder of APC. Their game plan is to scatter APC Anambra State and then decamp to their PDP and take over the already reserved governorship ticket that is in the cooler for them. Just look at it, who is contesting in PDP? Why is PDP Anambra State so quiet? Why are there no contestants showing even after their victory at the Supreme Court? This is a big pointer that Andy Uba, Tony Nwoye and Co. are just out to destroy APC in Anambra State and then move to their darling party PDP where they invested and pick ticket.

He called on delegates to be careful with these Ever-Wanderers-For-Greener-Pastures because their mission is to kill and destroy APC Anambra State. He boasted that APC is not a party for "flying politicians" to perch and claim tickets. Andy Uba, Tony Nwoye are "Flying Politician" who does not believe in the ideology of any political party. Their concern is a platform for ticket. He call on the party stake holders to look into the situation as the tension in the party is getting out of hand. The foundation members of APC Anambra State cannot sit and watch these desperadoes mess up all our efforts all these years. We cannot sit and watch a man who needed an Abuja Court to confirm that he went to secondary school to thwart all our programs because they said he has "money". Is the APC governorship ticket for sale he queries.

Chief Samson Okonkwo in his remark assure Chef George Muoghalu that as a founding member of the party who suffered with them during the "dry season", he must stand with him al all costs. He reminded him that Tony Nwoye who is also an aspirant is from Nsugbe but because of loyalty to the ideologies of APC, he had advised Tony, his kinsman to concentrate in his present job and give Anambra East and West a superb representation at the National Assembly. He promised to make sure that the delegates from Anambra North Senatorial Zone do not make mistake of wasting their vote on the duo of Andy Uba and Tony Nwoye.

In another development, Andy Uba and Tony Nwoye has concluded their plans to make sure that their game of picking PDP ticket is still intact. They have tactically sidelined Emeakayi and has hoisted on the party a kangaroo Caretaker Committee. This was the agreement reached with the new National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Markafi all in a bid to make sure that the ticket of PDP is still intact for them after they have messed up APC. They trio of Uche Ekwunife, Tony Nwoye and Andy Uba knew that Ken Emeakayi will be a difficult nut to crack and so the plan to sideline him was hatched the very day Senator Andy Uba and Uche Ekwunife visited Markafi after his victory at the Supreme Court. The plot to make sure that Ken is sidelined started playing out two days ago with the sealing of the State Party Office at Awka with fully armed to the tooth fierce looking Mobile Policemen.

The die is cast. The fight for the soul of APC Anambra State is on. The men who nurtured the party and feed the structure when APC is nothing are threatening hell should the party choose money against loyalty. They founding fathers of Anambra APC are protesting the invasion of their party by men of "easy virtue" who are all out to destroy their party and move on. Uche Ekwunife, Tony Nwoye and Andy Uba are known party scavengers who looks for carcass in all parties as opportunists. They are not ready to build and nurture any party structure. They are ever marauders always on the look out for easy "meal"

Nigerians and Anambrarians know them. They always fill WAEC result in their form to INEC. They refuse to get quality education necessary to assume the highly exalted office of the Executive Governor of Anambra State. They try to bully everyone because of their ill gotten wealth. Recently, Andy Ubah sued himself in Abuja Court just to have legal backing for his only qualification for the exalted seat of the Executive Governor of Anambra State which is a WAEC Certificate!.

Anambra may return to its gory days of violence and blood letting a second time in less than 14 years if the agenda of the self styled godfather and enfant terrible of Anambra’s politics, Chris Uba achieves its end.

Drum media lately gathered that following the failure of the Sheriif faction to win at the Supreme Court, Chief Chris Uba has intensified his plans to hijack the APC by reaching an accord with Engineer Barth Nwibe, a guber candidate of the APC.
Nwibe, a guber aspirant of the party had turned to Uba for help following his inability to continue financing his guber ambition.

The accord will see Uba financing Nwibe’s campaign for the party’s ticket and then the election proper. For which Nwibe will give the erstwhile godfather the latitude to operate in the state’s politics.

The duo who had met twice in the Uga country home of Chief Chris Uba as well as thrice in Abuja agreed that a number of contracts would be awarded to firms belonging to Uba, choice appointments for his nominees as well as ceding the senatorial ticket to Uba in 2019.

Speaking to the Drum, an aide to Uba who did not want to be mentioned said that with the strengths of Tony Nwoye and perhaps the entrance of Ngige into the race, Nwibe had no choice than to turn to Uba who has vowed to deliver the ticket to Nwibe.

The aide also said that Uba was doing this to spite his elder brother Andy Uba who was also in the race for the ticket.

Nigerians will recall that from 2003 to 2005, Anambra was thrown into a period of crisis following disagreements between the then governor of the state, Senator Chris Ngige and the same Chris Uba who was his estranged godfather then.

Uba who sponsored Ngige, had demanded a number of political portfolios in the cabinet and payment of monies running into billions of Naira, Ngige after accepting to do the bidding of his godfather later reneged on the agreement, leading to the attempted kidnap of Ngige and numerous spates of violence which threatened the peace and tranquillity of the state then.

Anambra State was to lose millions of Naira in terms of properties destroyed, including the state’s government house which was burnt by hoodlums acting on the orders of Chris Uba.

The question now is can Anambra survive such a tragedy again?

APGA Is A Responsible Party Not A Party That Undermines Our Judiciary: Chief Willie Obiano Must Watch It

Today, if all that filters in remains same, then the government of Chief Willie Obiano in collusion with the Ex National Chairman of APGA Chief Victor Oye will be in Nnewi today to surreptitiously secure an order of Mandamus asking INEC and The Nigerian Police to recognise Chief Victor Ike Oye as the National Chairman of our Great Party. This is a charade and of the highest echelon!

Why would the party BOT CHAIRMAN Chief Willie Obiano be sponsoring at a huge cost, the crisis of and in our party. From Enugu High Court through to Justice Ozoemena and Justice Onuorah, Willie Obiano and his coterie of APGA renegades are hell bent on " buying a Judgement and Ruling " from the Judges. The name, image and sanctity of our ideals as a party has become a sacrificial lamb at the altar of mundane and blind quest for Power. By the way, is this how to galvanize a party ahead of elections? Is this how to position for a second Tenure onslaught amidst other party armada in Anambra State?

Gradually and by the day, our people keep reaffirming their beliefs in APGA ahead of the election but His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano does not want to allow peaceful elections in Anambra State. What exactly is difficult and incongruous in Chief Willie Obiano accepting and working "in tandem " with Ochudo Martin Agbaso ahead of the elections? What exactly is scaring Chief Willie Obiano away from Ochudo Martin Agbaso, who incidentally and coincidentally too, was the returning officer that saw his emergence in our party primaries in 2013.? The right answer to this is simple ; His Excellency does not want to go the Pools unopposed! He simply does not want a robust party primaries where my likes would openly challenge his future plans for our great party!

His Excellency wants an endorsement ahead of November 18th, 2017! He wants a sole party ticket without any contest but I want to inform him categorically that this will not happen! We, the Progressive and staunch foot soldiers of APGA will never stand, watch and see internal party democracy vanish from our APGA. No attempt either in the current judgement pursuit from Enugu to Nnewi and possibly to Abuja will make APGA loose her ideological foundations of " Onye Aghana Nwanne ya " spirit! This party bu "Nkeanyi " and all hands are on desk to make sure Chief Willie Obiano does not sink the party by November 18th, 2017!

I am in this Election simply because I believe that the Pan Igbo interest which the Chairmanship of Ochudo Martin Agbaso represents is the right path for a rejuvenation and renaissance of Igboism and APGA spirit across the entire Igboland! I am in this struggle because I believe that APGA truly bu Nkeanyi at a time when the question of " Igbos to Be or Not to Be" is serious trial! What our party needs now is a party man, an outspoken leader, a thinker and a believer in the Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu's unflinching hope of a mouth piece for Ndigbo in Nigeria! God willing, irrespective of all judicial jingoism sponsored by Chief Willie Obiano and Co-Compatriots from Aguleri axis against APGA, this party will triumph in the coming election led by a vibrant and revolutionary leader!

I call on the sitting judges in Anambra State to consciously steer off the APGA racketeering by His Excellency no matter the pressure they are. Like Justice Onuorah of Enugu High Court, they must be bold to read out openly in court, the overtures and financial inducements offered by these agents of destruction of our great party. Any Judge who wishes to bid their wills must be ready to face the full wrath of the law at all levels! Enough is Enough!
