DAY 7: #30daysofshowingupwithsommy
Today's episode is on my struggles, achievement and disappointment.

At one point in my life, I started feeling disconnected from the outside world. From my friends, my family and generally all my surroundings. I became more of an observer than a participant.
I wondered why that happened, and if something is wrong with me. My life focus completely shifted and things that used to be important to me, such as having many friends, a drive for a successful career, a reputation, did not matter anymore. I just did not care if people liked me, if I had a successful career or what my family says about my life choices. I became myself. I turned inwards and started observing my own values. This has given me incredible strength and self-assurance, yet, the connections to my friends have changed.
Some of my friends did not understand my spiritual growth and I noticed how the Gap between me and them got bigger. I had to cut ties with many people. I noticed how some so called friends did not enjoy seeing me grow and bloom, for whatever reasons might have been.
For a while I have been a little lonely on this journey, until new/old friends started coming into my life (again). This is when I noticed that the saying “When one door closes, another opens” is very true. These people were like-minded and on a similar path, or at least they were curious about mine, and I was about theirs.
I started feeling connected again,
and to come back to the question:
A struggle for me at that time had been to realize that people/things were not good for me anymore, and I had to let go. Let go of anything that did not resonate with me (anymore).
Letting go of this had allowed me to let in all that serves me and allows me to grow, bloom and blossom.
This “decluttering” process allowed me to feel more alive and I can recommend to anyone who feels
