RESCUE ALERT 🚨

This dog was brought in yesterday after being found in La Virgen 🐾 We had been receiving reports of this poor girl hiding in yards throughout the area, 🐶 yesterday she was able to be caught and receive the medical attention she needs ❤️‍🩹

It seems that she was tied up for a very long time, potentially her whole life, and the rope cut through the layers of skin of her neck 😢 It was infested with worms when she was found 🪱 Due to her extreme malnourishment the healing process will be long 💔

Meet Casserole “Cassi” and her five 3 week old potato puppies! 🐶

Cassi was found with her tail infested with worms 🪱 and in need of an emergency amputation 😢

Mark your calendars for Sunday, Feb 9th at Dale Pues for the official Watch Party for our star rescue, Tuani, in the 2025 with Animal Planet 🤩👏🏼 We will be celebrating from 12-3pm with food & drink specials, a beer pong tournament, rescue puppy cuddles, and more! 🍔🍻🐕

🌯 MEET OUR MEXI-FOOD LITTER 🌯

We have lots of new rescue litters this month! And with our theme of the month being “types of food”, we are having so much fun naming all of them! 😂

These 3 pups were born on December 8th in the Nevada area of San Juan del Sur. 🐶 The family reached out to us to help support these puppies to grow healthy & find quality homes, so that’s exactly what we are doing! 🫶🏻

These puppies will be ready for adoption in the first week of February! 🙌🏼 With each litter we rescue, it costs us around $150-$200 per puppy as adoptions include vaccinations, deworming, vitamins, and sterilization! 🩺🐕 We feed them and provide everything they need up until adoption!

🎉 JANUARY STERILIZATION DAY 🎉

We kicked off the year by spaying & neutering 36 dogs today! 🙌🏼🐕 Thank you to Seaside Clinica Veterinaria for allowing us to takeover the clinic for the day & thank you Aprovet for coming & supporting our community with your team of vets! 👨🏽‍⚕️🏩🐾 Sterilization is the most efficient & safest way to end animal suffering & overpopulation in the community! 💕🐶 Please continue to spay & neuter your pets! 🫶🏻

‼️ EMERGENCY INTAKE ‼️

Today we received in this sweet mama dog and her 5 puppies 🐶 A road worker found mama and her babies in a bodega and has been giving them food 🐾 but noticed that mama’s tail was infested with worms 🪱😱

This type of worm infestation is very dangerous and can lead to death ☠️ The first step was to amputate the tail 😞 Llarve was also spotted on a few of the puppies so they are being treated as well 💔

There hasn’t been a week that’s gone by where we haven’t received kittens pulled out of the trash 🗑️ Kittens are often regarded as pests and are discarded in dumpsters, on the side of the road, or tied in plastic bags 💔

These cuties were brought in earlier this week and thankfully are old enough to eat wet food on their own 🐈 It is very difficult for us to find fosters who are willing/able bottle feed 🍼

🐾 MAMA DOG UPDATE 🐾 Mama Phoebe’s puppies are now 4 weeks old and have been the first SOS litter to grow up inside of Seaside Clinica Veterinaria🍼 Mama Phoebe, being a street dog, was not very healthy when she came to us and sadly seems to have passed a virus to her pups 💔 Over the past week we have lost three precious babies 😢 Phoebe and puppies are also at higher risk of disease since they are living in a veterinary clinic vs if they were fortunate enough to have a foster home 🏡 The remaining puppies do appear to be in good health and are growing everyday! 💙 Phoebe also is doing well and is very happy to be receiving affection from humans 🥰 All will be available for adoption in a few weeks!

UPDATE: FOUND DOG 👏🏼 Milan has a family 😱 Through shares on social media, a family has been reunited with their dog 🩷 Milan aka “Lucy” has been missing since December, when she ran away after being scared by the bombas 💥 After over a month of being lost, Lucy was very happy to see her family again when they came to pick her up from SOS Clinica Veterinaria 💞
