For some years I am rehoming some of my old breeders. Some died of old age and I have been baught some new more rare lines. In the future I will not breed normal tegus anymore. All will be line bred, special localities and morphs. The male in the picture is a Blacknose black and white tegu. A locality of black and white tegus who lives in Uruguay.

Zora has shown some unusual behavior in recent days. She has always been very quiet, but she a little sleepy and she squeezes one eye shut. Very small details that you only see if you really know her. Yesterday her eye filled with blood due to a burst vein. This morning I got so nervous that I decided to drive to Gent University (BE) Tom hellebuyck for a specialist look. My feeling was right. After an ultrasound and blood tests, she appeared to have an infection. Because she had 16 eggs in instead of the usual 9, it is possible that 1 egg has burst, causing an infection. She is currently undergoing surgery to remove the eggs. According to the vets, I was there on time. If all goes well I can pick her up early next week.

In snails are a lot of protein and calcium. So a very healthy food tegus and caiman lizards. Also it keeps them busy for a while.

The left one (s*x unkown) is 4 days old, the right one (male) 3 months old. I do have to say the right one is a giant compair to his siblings. But it still is crazy how fast they grow.

Yesterday we did some ultra sounds and found out that we will have some eggs 2x pearl-line high white red tegus, 1x anery red tegus and 2x purple devil-line.
Ofcourse there is a big chance many more will follow. But these will be layed in the next 1/2 weeks.
