A Journey Worth Celebrating ✨ You guys probably dont know but our journey goes back to November 2020. With a good friend (an amazing chef for humans), I started cooking for Caju, who was already showing her first GI signs. We ran a pilot for 20 dogs in February 2021 under the name Bluey Dog Food, but life had other plans. A few months later, Caju ended up in the hospital after rejecting her "premium" kibble for 6 days straight. The solution? Start cooking for her again. Bluey evolved into Frisp, and I embarked on the most intense journey of my life. With no money, knowledge, or connections to start a pet food business, I worked triple as hard. Before and after my full-time job, on weekends, and during holidays, Frisp became my everything. I even learned coding to build our website (so if it’s a little buggy, now you know why 😂). In January 2023, we relaunched from our old apartment's 6m² kitchen, packing in the living room, and hauling everything to a freezer in our downstairs storage. Step by step, paw by paw, we grew. We wrecked our old apartment with all the food we cooked and eventually moved to a dogs-only kitchen. On the day we celebrated one year in the kitchen, something amazing happened: we got our 100th dog! The best part? It was Rambo, Fenrir’s twin from another mother. And even though we’re neighbors, Rambo’s family didn’t know we made food for dogs. Why? Because when we’re walking our dogs, we’re just walking our dogs. We don’t go around telling people or trying to convince them to buy from us. We want people to support us because they believe in us. And honestly? Serving 100 dogs in 2 years—while running ads for only 2 weeks—feels damn good. 100 dogs might not seem like a lot, but for us, this milestone isn’t just about numbers.
