According to a false accusation which appeared in the comments underneath every post on Vier Poten - Groomer Amsterdam I would like to make a statement.
Situation in this particular comment has completely different course in reality and has nothing to do with animal abuse.
I was grooming an maltipoo and in the end I needed to remove hair from his ears. He didn’t like it and started to scream and cry - which is pretty common for dogs to do during grooming .
I continued and dog snapped me few times in my hand so I hold him stronger to see if I can continue or not .
I have noticed women watching by the window doors, she was angry and alert. I went to her what I am dealing with. She started to shout on me and accuse me of hitting the dog and abusing him .
I was obviously nervous so I want her to go away but she stayed outside trying to record my work .
I work as a groomer for last five years and the reason why I do it is because I love dogs .
My clients never complain. Dogs love to come to my salon. Many dogs are very happy during the grooming and also after .
I am not an abusive groomer everyone can come and see how I work.
Some dogs don’t like grooming and job needs to be done anyways and I am very transparent about it . We do things which are sometimes not very pleasant but it is necessary to do that to make dog beautiful and healthy.
