Having grown up with dogs all my life, it seemed inevitable that my career would revolve around our furry friends. Coupled with a love for the outdoors, this is my ultimate dream job! Originally a dog walker in Scotland I have recently brought my passion to Holland. I have spent the last year dog walking and sitting around the Amsterdam area before Barking Walks was born! I know and understand com

pletely that your dog is like a family member, and their health and well-being is priority number one for a dog owner. Come rain, sun or snow your dog is in trustworthy, caring hands and will be returned to you with a wagging tail. Your can be assured that your dog will receive all the love and attention it deserves while in the care of Barking Walks. "I would like to give our warmest endorsement / recommendation to Justine and her team (Fabianna, Flo, Femke & Holly) for walking our precious labrador Mia for the last 3 years – almost every weekday at 08.00 sharp.

Justine and her team have shown great commitment, passion, flexibility and above all, great love for Mia throughout the last three years. From her side Mia could not show more enthusiasm by storming down the stairs daily, barking with excitement and grabbing whatever shoe she could find to present to the team.

Fabiana affectionately calls Mia her “Amsterdam dog”, Justine secretly wanted Mia as her own and Flo already had 2 dogs of her own, so she could not take her on. Mia is currently in the UK with my sister-in-law and the tears from the team prior to her departure was a clear sign they loved her to bits.

With this week to see the Mercury rise above 30 degrees Celsius, us doggos can find it difficult to be both outside and in! 🥵

Please keep your pawfriends cool by following some of these steps, to help their comfort;

- leave fans and AC’s running for them where possible;
- let your dog bask in a nice cool pool, fountain, or why not give them a cold bath?;
- make sure their water bowls are full at all times;
- we like to sit in cool places in houses, so sometimes lying on the cool tiles in bathrooms is fun (make sure you close the toilet bowl first! 🤪🤪);
