Elephants are the largest land mammal they are extremely sensitive and caring animals; much like humans. If a baby elephant cries, the herd will touch and caress the baby with their trunks to soothe it.

World Elephant Day is an initiative that aims at building global awareness to the conservation and protection of life-threatened elephants. World Elephant Day encourages us to appreciate these majestic beasts and aims to draw our attention to how we can improve on protecting them.

Today we said goodbye to our sweet and beautiful friend Cordelia, a big pitbull with an even bigger heart ♡ Cordi and her late brother Gambit + their cat brothers were our very first clients, the beginning of our journey as Vegan Pet Friends ♡ Thank you for trusting us and allowing us to be a part of her life ♡ We are forever grateful ♡

Foxtail plants can be risky for your cat and dog.
The seeds have a sharp front tip that penetrates the skin or enters through an or***ce, while the hooked barb prevents it from working its way back out. The seed is on a one-way trip to the inside of your animal, and it won’t dissolve on its own.

Check feet, toes, ears, eyes, nose, ge****ls and any folded areas after every walk. Be aware of any signs of pain and/or irritation.

Types of : Bristlegrass, yellow or green foxtail, giant foxtail, cheatgrass, june grass, downy brome, timothy, awns/grass awns/grass seed.

Giant hogw**d (Heracleum mantegazzianum) is a Federally listed noxious w**d.

Its sap, in combination with moisture and sunlight, can cause severe skin and eye irritation, painful blistering, permanent scarring and blindness - IN HUMANS AND ANIMALS!!!

Contact between the skin and the sap of this plant occurs either through brushing against the bristles on the stem or breaking the stem or leaves.

Today our lovely client and friend Seti crossed the rainbow bridge 😔

He lived an adventurous life for almost 19 years, and was lucky to have a human partner and pawrent like .joniec - who never measured any efforts to keep giving him all the care and love in the world!

People often say I have the best job, and I agree! But this, right here, is the worst part about being a petsitter.

It's not stepping on p**p almost daily, or enduring hours under rain. It's losing friends you make along the way. It breaks my heart in pieces, and I grieve. But that also means I am lucky to have these relationships with different animals and I get to feel that they are all a little bit mine, too 🐶🐱

DOG FOUND AT VONDELPARK!

Hey guys!!
I was walking one of my clients just now and this buddy started following us. Soon after I realised he didn't have a human walking with him! I started giving him treats so he would stay close.

Another lady walking her dog (Bernadette, thank you!!) also noticed he was alone and helped me to get a police car over and we also called the dierenambulance. The police officers were super kind and took him to a dierenkliniek in Overtoom to check his microchip.

He is wearing a faded red collar but no tags.
He is medium/small and suuuuuper sweet!

I hope someone recognizes him 💚
