🍎 The apple of my eye — and the one he’s holding too. 😄❤️
Question is, who’s sweeter: Rob or this year’s apples?

Feeling extra grateful for this season’s harvest. It took us a couple of years to find the right pruning rhythm and figure out how to keep the birds and critters from helping too much. We still share plenty (they’re part of the garden too), but this year we had more than enough perfect apples to go around.

There’s nothing quite like harvesting from a tree you’ve cared for.

Anyone else harvesting apples right now — or dreaming of planting a tree someday? What’s your favorite way to enjoy fresh apples? I’m always on the lookout for new ideas! 🍏🍎

A wholesome afternoon discussing permaculture and edible gardening, followed by painting flowers at the table — one of those soft, memorable moments 🌿🎨 This private workshop was a birthday gift from one partner to another: a mix of exploring edible and pollinator-friendly plants, then taking time to paint a flower they chose together.

It was slow, thoughtful, and really lovely.

I enjoy putting together these kinds of private workshops — mixing gardening and art in whatever way fits the people and the moment. It’s always special to create something around what people enjoy most. Send me a message if you ever want to try something like this ❤️

🌿 Fig season’s here, and my fig tree keeps giving! 🌳
Give your tree some love—water deep, pick often, and prune with care.

How’s your fig tree doing this year? I’d love to hear! 💬✨

Save this post and happy harvesting! 🌞🌱

The Beginner’s Garden Workshop Series is blooming beautifully 🌼

In our second session, we dove deeper—reviewing everyone’s crop plans and talking about how to start seeds with care and intention. From sprouting seedlings to creating balanced, biodiverse garden spaces, we explored how to feed not just ourselves, but the insects, birds, and creatures that make our gardens thrive 🐞🪲🦉

We also spent some time with our plant allies—herbs! 🌿 Their scents and flavors brought a whole new level of connection. Everyone got to taste, smell, and share, and we all went home with a handful of something fresh and healing.

It was a day full of exchange, encouragement, and green dreams taking root. One more session to go—we’re excited to see what continues to grow 🌱

🌱 At first, I treated gardening like a skill to master.
Now, it feels more like a language I’ve slowly begun to understand.

When I first started with indoor plants, I had no idea how much they would teach me about curiosity, patience, and paying attention. These days, gardening has become a kind of quiet conversation—with the bees, the soil, and even the wind.

I just published a piece about this reflection.
If you’ve ever felt disconnected from nature—or wondered if you have a “green thumb”—this one’s for you.

Daily harvest of strawberries makes me so happy 🥰 You may choose to share them with others in your garden, such as birds and slugs 🐌🕊️otherwise, it’s ok to pick them a bit before it’s fully ripen so the others don’t get to them before you do 😆🍓

🪴 Tiny glass worlds, big calming vibes. 🪴

We spent a lovely afternoon with the flatexDEGIRO crew making terrariums as part of their Wellness Week — and it was honestly the kind of pause we all need sometimes. 🌿✨

All it takes is soil, moss, and a little planty magic to create a mindful moment. These mini ecosystems became more than cute decor—they were little pockets of calm, creativity, and connection.

Shoutout to the flatexDEGIRO team for making space for something so grounding in the middle of a busy workday. 💚 So grateful to be part of this!

A little reminder: hands-on = heart-full. Whether it’s for wellness, team-building, or just slowing down, creating something together always brings the good energy. 🫶🌱

This past weekend, our neighborhood planted the sunflowers for the sunflower protest 💪🌻✊ . I also shared some seed bombs that contain sunflower seeds and other flower seeds

We have a “flower belt” that we plant wild flowers there every year, which is one of the many reasons why I love my neighborhood 💚🥰

The Beginners Garden Workshop Series sprouted to life last weekend 🌱

In our very first session, we dug into the heart of permaculture—exploring how its ethics and design principles can guide us in growing with nature, not against it. We also talked about crop planning with purpose, and got our hands a little dirty making seed bombs 🌸💣—tiny acts of care for the pollinators that keep our gardens (and the world) alive and abundant 🐝🦋

It was a day of shared curiosity, connection, and grounding. Looking forward to what will grow from here 🌿
