What a way for Beezy Tiger to wrap up the year: Another private terrarium workshop with another group of lovely, plant enthusiasts! This team from University of Amsterdam (UvA) spent some time designing and building their terrariums as part of their team outing day. It’s perfect since the theme was botanical 💚🪴🎍☘️ I also got to visit and use their faculty green house for the workshop! Thanks UvA!

Beezy Tiger will be taking a winter break, using this time to get rejuvenated and start planning workshops for 2025! Hopefully I will have an updated list of workshops soon for the new year! Beezy Tiger did the first kid’s workshop a couple weeks ago. I had a blast! These 11 year olds are so smart, and their enthusiasm about plants and terrariums inspire me so much. The workshop couldn’t have gone better and I am so proud of all of the kids’ creations. Super rewarding to see their happy, excited faces as well :)

Our fig tree just keeps giving: Who knew with the weather this year, we still get to enjoy a second round of fig harvests! It’s the first time the tree gives a second harvest within the same year :) perennial power!

Went to France for the last week of August and came back to a decent harvest! Tomatoes, tomatillos, kohlrabi, apple, and some goofy looking cucumbers. Also, started seed saving!

Thanks Amsterdam for having me on Saturday to give a Terrarium workshop 🙏🙏🙏 what a nice thing you did for your members! Many thanks to those who attended - I love all your energy and creativity 💚🥰 it makes me so happy to see the smiles on your faces, taking home your newly made, tiny oasis. Sharing some of the highlights here, more photos to come

I love Kesbeke’s pickles as they are delicious, and it’s nice knowing that after finishing the pickles, I get a beautiful, durable jar to up-cycle for my plants 😋🥒🌱 it also makes the terraria extremely unique and iconic, especially for Amsterdammers 🇳🇱❌❌❌🚲

A late post about an amazing day we spent with the residents of OurDomain/OurCampus, Diemen early June. and I from returned the second time to this community garden to share hands- on, urban organic gardening practices. We weeded, seeded, and replanted. We hope this garden will flourish, and bring lots of harvests & joy to the residents 💚

Finally some sunny warm weather, hence some more harvests 🥬🥗🫛 strawberries are doing surprisingly well this year; Made a broad bean dish with anchovies; harvested the first batch of garlic - some of them had “witched brooming” and were droopy, so decided to harvest early

Another great workshop(on growing organic herbs) with another awesome group! We were blessed with amazing weather on Saturday and got to do this outside in the garden. We discussed, smelt, tasted and potted herbs. Everyone went home with bagful of herbs 💚🪴💚 Thank you for joining and hope to see you next time!
