Every once in a while I'm totally relaxed and am I in a very deep sleep.
Feeling comfortable I dreams of all kind of delicious (aka )food that boss is gonna make for me when I'm awake!

As a puppy you can't do much when your new sister takes you in the neck lock.
You can only pray to the Lord that she won't hurt you or just making pitying puppy howles in the hope your owner is going to intervene.

Yes, Golden Retrievers, in such cases your good lookings won't help you. It's the dog language that must help you and fortunately both of my dogs speak the same language and nothing severely ever happened!

Last month Bella has been living for two years with our family now.
And from a little pup she has become a two year old, sometimes mad-making, stubborn young adult.
-
They know each other very well and just the way of barking to each other and to us and the use of their body language makes us realise what they want to do, or make us do to them.

That's exactly what happens if you're going to get your puppy.
You comfort her or him by taken the puppy in your arms and try to comfort her.
This happened to our Blitz when we took her home and she gladly and willing lay in my daughter's arms and fell into a deep dream.

💧THE RAINDROP💧

My dogs were lying comfortably on the cough and started this conversation.
-
Blitz, "Do you know what a raindrop is Bella ?"
Bella, "Of course I know that, I'm a smart Golden Retriever of a Royal descend. It's a drop of water. Why do you ask me that ?"
Blitz, "I will explain it to you, our boss was talking about he being like a raindrop."
Bella, "I don't understand why he said that, do you ?"
Blitz, "Well, I think I understand his meaning. I'll explain it to you. You know he opened an Insta-account a few months ago, do you ?"
Bella, "Yes, I do."

Blitz, "On his Insta he keeps posting some personal things like things he is interested in and of course about us, living with him and his family and how it's like to live so.
A few weeks ago he saw some movies and a lot of pictures of cruelties done to animals like cows, pigs and other livestock animals. There were also pictures of dogs being eaten and beaten by Hoomans in far away countries.
Boss's feelings were hurt by seeing these cruelties.
You know he is very fond of us and can't stand cruelties to animals. I heard him say 'he's stopping eating meat' and as you've noticed he doesn't eat any more of it from that moment on, have you noticed that too ?"
Bella, "Yes, I have, he doesn't eat any meat anymore. But how about the raindrop ?"

Blitz, "He says, he's like a drop of rain. He took a very small step in stopping eating meat, but if enough Hoomans stop eating meat there will be more drops of rain like he.
And when there are enough drops of water in the bucket it will overflow. It will fill canals, ponds, lakes and seas.
Until in the end Hoomans don't eat meat anymore and there won't be slaughtering of innocent animals.
He also says 'he's gonna stand up for animals in 2022 and try to help them', not only dogs, but all animals.
Bella, "I hope many Hoomans will follow suit."

When boss returned to the living room he saw both his dogs lying next to each other in a deep sleep. Boss thought, if these innocent dogs ain't gonna go to heaven on Judgement Day, nobody will!
-
And that's my resolution for this year, to stop eating meat, wish you all a good 2022 and I hope many people will follow suit.

S I S T E R H O O D

My daughter was able to catch them while "guarding" the backyard.
It's my German Shepherd who is the guardian, but as sisters do you can't leave your sister alone.
So Bella supported Blitz! in "guarding" the backyard while keeping a close eye to my daughter.
This is probably my last post for 2021. I wish you all the best for 2022!

Am I Cool or Am I Not ?

One of my bosses is always on the lookout of playing tricks on me or on my friend Bella. It's the daughter of my boss. When my masters went away for a while on an errand she quickly took her change and put on me a pair of sunglasses. After that she took a photograph.

At that time my bosses weren't active on social media but my master is now. He said it was a funny picture and he would publish it on Insta and said that I looked kind a cool.
-
So here's the picture, what's your opinion on that remark of my master, do I really look kind a cool?

Today it's time to reflect and think about the time when my children were still kids and we just had bought Lana our first dog.
To make sure that my children didn't treat the puppy as a living doll, we attended them in raising the dog.
-
We learnt them everything about how to treat a dog and animals in general. It's no surprise that little children are eager to go with you to the "petting zoo." Because they like animals and especially new born ones.
-
Unfortunately the respect - and sometimes fear - they have for the animals at that time often disappears when they are grown up.

INSTAFRIEND --- CAPONE

Sometimes when you see someone you think, "I like that one." I think we relate well to each other. That feeling did I get when I saw my friend "Capone" on Insta.
Capone is a really handsome big fellow of a South-African BoerBoel, who is living in Canada.

It's a giant of a dog. I like to compare him to the Biblical "Goliath."
Such dogs are rather rare where I live and I can't remember if I have ever seen one alive.
See this text as a tribute to that fellow and his owners.

An "art form" used when there weren't any image editing programs like Photoshop and many similar programs. It's a picture of Lana and the photo was a little bit out of focus, so not sharp at all. To get a useful purpose for this photo I used a method to convert the photo into "pixel art."

Hungry Like the Wolf

Have you ever been hungry like the wolf?
That's a question I've asked my children one time. They had to think about that question and thought that they were. But I said they weren't. Neither were we. No in our entire life we have never been hungry. We and they have only had the feeling "I'm in for a snack" or I wished I had something to eat.
Than our dogs were they ever hungry? No at least not when they were grown up. But Blitz! as well as Bella could eat enormous amounts of food when they were puppies and they also ate it very fast.
Look at the move and judge for yourself of Blitz! was hungry as a five week's old or not.
