Location: The Jureia-Itatins Ecological Station (Portuguese: Estação Ecológica da Jureia-Itatins) is an ecological station (ESEC) in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It fully protects a well-preserved area of the Atlantic Forest.
Mission: Conservation dog Betty helps identify habitat use by the target species, and to assist in collecting scat and data.
The scat will be examined as they are an important tool for studying population trends, habitat use, and gene flow. This research will contribute to monitoring efforts and help develop conservation policies for these species.
