‼️Opening hours Hay / Straw ‼️
Starting tomorrow we will have strict opening hours to pick up Hay and Straw. This will be at ALL shows at our location:
Morning: 10.00-11.00
Afternoon: 17.00-18.00
It is not possible to get hay/Straw outside of these hours.

We are happy to announce that this year, once again DONUT Bits & Spurs and Reining Center Meertenhof will sponsor 3 Champion Bits again!

This year the bits will be awarded in the Youth 14-18, Limited Open and Limited Non Pro!

All NRHA shows at Meertenhof will count. You have to ride at least one DRHA and one NRHA BELGIUM Show. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season will be awarded the Bit during the DRHA End Of The Year Show.

Yesterday we awarded the Meertenhof Champions in the Intermediate Open and Intermediate Non Pro with a Trophy Bit sponsored by DONUT Bits & Spurs
And Meertenhof.
Dries Verschueren and Tom van Eyk were the best horse Rider combinations throughout all NRHA shows held at our Location.

🥳 laatste Droes update! 🥳
De Quarantaine ligt er verlaten bij.. en dat betekend dat nu eindelijk ook de laatste paarden volledig droesvrij terug naar hun eigen stal zijn!

Waarom heeft het nog zo lang geduurd?
Normaal is het beleid dat als paarden 3 weken achter elkaar 3 negatieve neusswaps hebben, ze terug naar de rest kunnen.
Al weken terug voldeden onze paarden aan deze eis. Maar, het voelde nog niet zeker genoeg om ze terug te zetten.
Na overleg hebben we besloten om, voor de zekerheid, ook een luchtzak swap te laten doen bij al deze paarden.
Hieruit kwam slechts één paard negatief, de overige waren nog steeds positief en dus besmettelijk.
Wij zijn heel blij dat we deze extra maatregelen hebben genomen en raden het ook iedereen aan om zo zeker te zijn dat je paarden niet te vroeg terug zet bij de rest en de ellende weer opnieuw begint.
Intussen zijn we weken en meerdere luchtzak testen verder, en zijn eindelijk ook de laatste twee vrij verklaard!

🥳 Final Strangles update! 🥳
The quarantine is deserted... finally, the last two horses got the green light to go back to their normal stables!

Why did it take so long?
It is protocol that you need 3 negative nose swaps over 3 weeks to take the horse out of quarantine. We already had this weeks ago. But somehow, we wanted to be more sure. So we decided that all these horses needed to do a guttural pouch swap.
These tests showed that only 1 of the horses was really negative, while the others still tested positive, and therefore could still give it to others.
Meanwhile, a couple of test later, finally the last ones were negative and could go back to the others.
We recommend everyone who has to deal with this disease to do a guttural pouch swap before taking horses back!
