Ocellate river or Peacock-eye stingray, Potamotrygon motoro
Peacock-eye stingray, Potamotrygon motoro
Stingrays have long, thin, whip-like tails equipped with one to three barbed venomous spinal blades. Although they are generally shy, they may strike when unintentionally stepped on.
West African Potto, Perodicticus potto
With the exception of the sharpened toilet claw on the reduced second digit of the hind feet, all other nails are flattened.
The index finger is vestigial.
The reduced second digits on the hands and feet and the opposable pollex and hallux create an excellent grip on arboreal supports.
Spotted Hyena, Crocuta crocuta
This very cute Spotted Hyena pup was made by and is part of our private collection.

Hoffmann's two-toed sloth, Choloepus hoffmanni
After articulating my third Linnaeus's two-toed sloth skeleton, this is the first Hoffmann's two-toed sloth I had a chance to work on.
Hoffmann's two-toed sloth is easy to confuse with the related Linnaeus's two-toed sloth, which it closely resembles.
The primary physical differences between the two species relate to subtle skeletal features; for example, the shape of the skull, Hoffmann's two-toed sloth has three foramina in the upper forward part of the interpterygoid space, rather than just two, and often – but not always – has fewer cervical vertebrae ( in the case of this one there where six).
Thanks again for the opportunity to work on this amazing species and for the very pleasant communication to come up with this original pose.
Brown bear, Ursus arctos
Another epic collaboration project with my good friend .
The skeleton is completely free standing, no stands or supports, all bones internally drilled with steel wires.

African spurred tortoises, Centrochelys sulcata
A little making-of reel of this massive project I made this year.
A few interesting details:
The female was a hybrid between a african spurred tortoise and a leopard tortoise hence the beautiful and rich coloration.
She also had one extra digit and nail on her right rear foot.
The male was huge, the empty and cleaned shell alone weighed more then 13 kilograms.
He had a deformed and partly fused tibia and fibula.
All the bones were drilled and internally wired with steel.
Hope everybody enjoyed this reel, please let me know what y'all think!
African spurred tortoises, Centrochelys sulcata
African spurred tortoises forever positioned in an intimate embrace.
This very large and very heavy customers order was the biggest and most unusual challenge of the year. This piece altogether weighs around 45 kg, from the ground up to the male's skull measures 80 cm high.
The pictures don't really show how big these tortoises were. Stay tuned for 'the making of' reel!
Common monkfish, Lophius piscatorius skull.
Very large skull, made for a very happy customer.
Check out all the pictures to see the extra set of jaws with teeth inside the throat called the pharyngeal jaws.
Most bony fishes have two sets of jaws made mainly of bone. The primary oral jaws open and close the mouth, and a second set of pharyngeal jaws are positioned at the back of the throat. The oral jaws are used to capture and manipulate prey by biting and crushing. The pharyngeal jaws, so-called because they are positioned within the pharynx, are used to further process the food and move it from the mouth to the stomach.
Black-breasted leaf turtle, Geoemyda spengleri
This little beauty was a special customers order because it came with a special request and you can see the results here:
