MaJa's & El Niño's - Quality Purebred Cavies Quality Purebred Cavies by MaJa's cavies & El Niño's cavies We have been breeding purebred cavies since the early '90.

We strive for a healthy and vital breedingstock and we show only with selected animals. We have won Best in Shows in 8 countries and many of our breedingstock has been spread all over the world. Our main breeds are Abyssinians, Self Cream, Self White, Self Black, Self Slate. Also Peruvians, Shelties, Coronets and Texels in a variaty of broken colours (but mainly black/white).

⭐️ MaJa’s General, adult Merino boar did also amazing at the NCC national cavy show Stafford. At the BIS line up, he was 3rd best out of the Adult coated group. He was only shows 2 times, soon he will support our Texel breeding program ⭐️

Showing Abyssinians in the UK requires a slightly different selection in your show pigs. We always try and show 1 or 2, usually without any big succes. Specially the Brindles are of an amazing quality. We showed our baby red boy, he was in a class of 8 (!) and won 🏆 his class at the NCC National Cavy Show. He couldn’t beat the brindle, but we are super happy with this result. And we think he will have a bright future ahead.

What do you get when you cross a Sheltie with a Peruvian. Well if you are lucky a Best of Breed winning Peruvian, like our MaJa’s Lambada. Daughter of BOB Sheltie winner Tiel 2024 Jambo and BOB Peruvian winner Gabriella. She will be supporting our Sheltie breeding program with some new qualities and her sister will support our Alpaca breeding program.
