In het weekend nadat hij was uitgeroepen tot Horse of the Year op de Limburgse Veulenveiling, waar hij in 2015 is verkocht aan de vrouw van ruiter Richard Howley, zegeviert Zodiak du Buisson Z (v.Zirocco Blue VDL) in de Grand Prix van CSI5* Coapexpan! Een geweldig succes voor het fokproduct van Gijs van de Mortel!

De bijna 80 veulens verruilden vanavond in het Peelbergen Equestrian Centre voor een gemiddelde van 11.550 euro van eigenaar! Met een prijs van 36.000 euro werd de door Stan en Daan Creemers gefokte U Can Do It by Nature (v.Aganix du Seigneur) de veilingtopper.

In tijden waarin het allerminst een vanzelfsprekendheid is, is de Limburgse Veulenveiling erin geslaagd opnieuw een record neer te zetten voor wat betreft de gemiddelde prijs. De bijna 80 veulens werden in het Peelbergen Equestrian Centre afgeslagen voor een gemiddelde van 11.550 euro. De Aganix du....

Onder Richard Howley presteert de in 2015 geveilde Zirocco Blue VDL-zoon Zodiak du Buisson Z, uit de fokkerij van Gijs van de Mortel van Haras du Buisson, opvallend op het hoogste niveau. Het negenjarige Grand Prix-paard is daarmee al een uitstekende ambassadeur gebleken voor de veiling en is vanavond uitgeroepen tot Horse of the Year.

Veulens die uitgroeien tot Grand Prix-paarden zijn de beste reclame voor een veulenveiling.
