🐾📚 "It’s Okay He’s Friendly"!
Check out this interesting but also confronting study by Carla Hart and Tammi King! It sheds light on the challenges faced by owners of reactive dogs, especially during walks. 🚶‍♂️👇

🐾📚 "It’s Okay He’s Friendly"!
Check out this interesting but also confronting study by Carla Hart and Tammi King! It sheds light on the challenges faced by owners of reactive dogs, especially during walks. 🚶‍♂️🐕

In the study, 37 pet owners of reactive dogs shared their insights through an online survey, highlighting how owning and walking a reactive dog can affect their overall experience of dog ownership. 📝

The primary source of stress and anxiety? The uncertainty of encountering unpredictable situations during walks and how their dogs might react. 😟

Participants also expressed frustration at the lack of understanding from individuals who don't own reactive dogs, as well as from other dog owners whose off-leash pets trigger reactive responses. 🙅‍♂️🐶

Feeling unfairly judged by others adds to the stress and unpleasantness of dog walks. 😔

The study emphasizes the importance of the need for more research to develop strategies on how to support reactive dogs and their owners.
