No placings at the dog of the year show. But super proud of Vesper and Hudson to qualify and get the invitation for this prestigious show of the Dutch Kennel Club. Being the only two Irish setters there. Big congrats for the two principal winners of group 7! Good luck for the best in show!

Today we paid our respects and said goodbye to one of the icons within the European Irish setter world.

One of my most important tutors in the breed, the one that always together with his wife Vera pushed us to follow our own visions and aspirations.
To train our eye and our minds and most of all to be independent whilst at the same time surround yourself with kindred spirits.

We came to share a lot of the same values in our hobby, or should I say lifestyle.
To respect and value good dogs even when they're not your own.
To build a solid breeding programme in which breedtype, health and the personal preference you have as an individual breeder are self-explanatory.
And most of all to strive for the very best no matter the effort, money or time it will cost you.

We think back on our times together with a smile, a tear but most of all with pride.
Thanks for everything old friend!
