GIGI'S INTRODUCTIE
Gigi is een kat die van aandacht en knuffels houdt. zo zoekt hij een huis waar deze rijk aanwezig zijn. Of dat nou van een persoon of meer is maakt hem niets uit. Als er andere dieren aanwezig zijn is het voor Gigi belangrijk een eigen bron van eten te hebben. Hij is een doetje, wanneer een ander voor zijn eten komt zou hij het zo toelaten. (denk aan een sure feeder of in andere ruimte voeren)
GIGI'S VERHAAL
Gigi is een spraakzame vent van de straten in Cyprus. Hier woonde hij in een kolonie van katten. Echter kwam hij niet voor zichzelf op en was zwaar vermagerd. Ook had hij oude brandwonden op zijn kop en een gebroken staart. De dierenarts zag Gigi leiden en heeft hem direct mee genomen naar de praktijk. (foto 3) Dit is waar ik hem heb ontmoet. De staart was niet meer te redden door de heftige breuk en is hierom geamputeerd. Hier heeft hij verder geen last van.

HANDIG OM TE WETEN
Gigi is nog in Cyprus, maar we zijn hard bezig om hem zo snel mogelijk naar Nederland te vliegen.
Dit betekent dat het iets langer kan duren voor dat hij in huis is mocht hij zich nog in Cyprus bevinden. Hij zit momenteel in quarantine bij Veterinary Medical Center - VMC klaar om te vliegen en krijgt nog een extra keuring voordat het zover is.
ADOPTIE KOSTEN
De kliniek vraagt geen kosten voor Gigi's behandeling en verblijf. Het enige wat in rekening gebracht wordt is de reis kosten naar nederland. Dit ligt tussen de 50 en 77 euro

It has been quiet….
Astarion was adopted but came back a few weeks later. It wasn’t working with his adoptive family. Luckily a long life friend of my partner was searching for a cat companion. Since then he is living there in all the rich dom and I get to see him often🖤
Olive was having struggles again but with another session of antibiotics it’s going better.
Besides that I have been very busy with working and getting ready for an adventure I would like to document here in my stories!
This Sunday, I will leave my family at home and travel to Cyprus for 3 weeks!
Not for vacation but to actively help the stray cats. At a sanctuary, street and in a vet clinic❤️🩹
Ik kan het niet geloven…
Het gebouw had vandaag muziek, eet kraampjes en een tombola.
Ze hadden met heel veel liefde ons als goed doel gekozen. De lieve mensen hebben ons in totaal 500 euro geschonken voor Asta zijn operatie. Ik kan niet in woorden uiten hoe veel liefde ik voor iedereen voel, van de vrijwilligers die het hebben georganiseerd en opgezet, de mensen die alle loten voor de tombola hebben leeg gekocht en lieve Piet + anoniem die er in totaal nog 200 bij hebben gelegd. Daarnaast staat er nog een varken met briefje op de bar.
Ik ben zo dankbaar voor iedereen❤️

Olive is also doing great after her teeth removal! She had blisters which was the last thing we wanted. We are trying to save as much of her teeth as we can for years now but sadly her bad start in life keeps creeping up…
She might be toothless in the future 😅
He is having a hard time but he is doing good!
Astas teeth are horrible. Besides the broken teeth they also removed a rotten molar. They did their best to clean as much as possible but he will be on painkillers till the all the bad teeth are removed. For this I’m starting up a fundraiser because our funds for fosters are just dried out at this point.
I feel so bad to ask for money, I always said it’s our choice we need to fund it. It’s realistically just not doable to keep saving cats without help…
Taking care of abused/stray cats means dealing with a lot of problems… Asta came here with a broken tooth and is now trained to not bite while I touch him.
I just had a Quick Look at his teeth but it’s all inflamed and rotten.
No vacation only vet bills to help this poor baby

It’s cold… 4 of the residents got a cold. Most of them are doing better but Kibou is having a hard time. He doesn’t want to eat much so pills in food isn’t an option. Due to his anxiety and trauma forcing pills is a though task. Let’s hope he feels better soon❤️
Everyone is sick ❤️🩹
One after the other is getting the sniffles. It started with me and now 4 of the cats are on antibiotics, 2 of them have eye cream as well and all get nose drops. All twice a day so between giving meds, cleaning noses and cleaning Astas butt I’m trying to keep everyone warm.
We now have 3 cats that are snoring so I’m not sleeping so well … I hope to be more active soon when they do better!
Astarion was never interested in the bed since it is a bit unstable to move on. However since I got sick he stays by my side on the bed as much as possible 🥺🤍
Oh yeah, he is healthy enough to get the snip snip around the end of January! He is well behaved but I would gladly say goodbye to his foul p*e smell 🤢
We got a very quick trim at the groomer last Friday. Asta has some problems with balance due to CH and keeps falling in his own p**p 🥴 she shaved his but and trimmed the tail a bit so I have an easier time helping him out.
In other news, he gained 0,5 kilo since the 25th so we hope to hit the one kilo by the end of this month. He was 2 kilos when I picked him up which is way to skinny. But we know how to deal with skinny kitties from Olive and Hummus so I have no doubt it will work out in time 🤍
It has been a bit over a week since Asta arrived. He got a negative for ringworm so he is out of quarantine! Since he has never been an indoor cat there are a lot of nee impressions so we take it slow. He sleeps a lot and wants to lay with me if he isn’t eating.
Today we start with getting more active and taking a little walk indoor walk together 🤎
