My sweet Butcher ❤️ (though she has her name because she bit me while feeding and once a customer at the expo, all thanks to a certain smell on our hands 🫣)
Nevertheless, she is my favorite and I don't know how long she is staying with us 💔 she is a granny now, few of her sisters already passed.

I wanted to make a new enclosure for my female adult velvet spider
I don't have any enclosures smaller than a classic or bigger than a spiderling, so I made a kinda half terrestrial half arboreal enclosure 🤭
It's half the size of a ELF classic enclosure and it's still a prototype, my Forbidden Blueberry is living now for a few weeks in this enclosure and she looks happy!
I'm not thrilled about the front and door, still fine tuning it! What do you think about this enclosure?

This time no plastic fantastic colors 🪵 I'm really a big fan of a natural look inside of an enclosure, now matching with a natural look enclosure from Eightlegged Fluffs 🕷️
This is the "dual gradient wood" color, it contains two beautiful wood tinted colors.

When a jumping spider is starting to feel like a granny, they loose grip and are slowing down.
This is normal for jumpers who are getting old, their lifespan is 2-3 years for females and 1-1,5 years for males.
It's harder for them to hunt for food and having grip while doing so, I put my elderly jumpers in a Eightlegged Fluffs Spiderling enclosure, it's easier to hunt and having better grip on the mesh of the enclosure.
I see they are doing so much better when I move them from a Classic to a Spiderling enclosure (this is only when they are getting old!)
