A travel buddy is one of the last links in a long chain that starts with rescuing an animal from the streets, fostering and nursing back to health, finding a forever home and finally arranging travel to the country of the adoptive family. However, to get there, animals often need a human travel buddy, and that’s where you come in. The travel buddy does not incur any costs and is only involved in a
ccompanying the animal for the duration of the travel. The travel buddy meets the pet at the airport before the flight, the pet boards the plane with the travel buddy and at the end of the flight the travel buddy meets the adoptive family in the airport and hands over the pet. This is the extent of the involvement of the travel buddy in the process. It might sound like a walk in the park, and it is for the travel buddy. But for the pet that has been rescued, for all the people that put their heart and soul into saving a life and for the adoptive family, it means everything. Who YOU are
You are someone or know someone that will travel by plane at some point in the near future and you don’t mind accompanying a rescue animal that needs to reach their forever home. All you have to do is post the date and origin/destination of your flight on this page. If there is any furry friend in your area that needs to get to the same destination as you, the organization in charge of said pet will contact you for details.
