European Pony Grand Slam

Internationally renowned showjumping events organisations in a joint effort have created a new show format for pony riders: the European Grand Slam. This series will consist of five competitions held in various places in Europe, the finals taking place in the youth weekend (1 to 4 December) of Jumping De Achterhoek at Equestrian Centre Lichtenvoorde in the Netherlands. hed next week already, in Fontainebleau, France, on Thursday 14 April. Points can be earned in the Grand Prix for ponies by the riders, not the combinations. That means that the pony riders are allowed to start different ponies in the various Grand Prix. The three best results are added up. After the prize award of the compulsory Grand Prix of Jumping De Achterhoek, the top three of the series are the prize winners. More information about the prizes made available will follow soon. The series go from Fontainebleau to Azelhof Horse Events in Lier, Belgium (12 to 15 May) and almost certainly via Germany in June (more information will follow later). The tour then moves to De Warre in Neeroeteren in Belgium (25 to 27 November) to end up at Jumping De Achterhoek in Vragender.
