Great end of the 2024 racing season

Last weekend the racing season 2024 ended for Sangers Pigeons. A hard edition of Chimay (269 km) with head winds and low velocities. For Sangers the last great selection moment. The young bird team did very well, in Rivierenland they did very well in the acebird competition:

Fastest Sangers pigeon on this heavy Chimay was NL24-9212966, winning 2nd prize against 1,421 birds (velocity 1161 mpm). He is direct from ‘Azzuro’, purchased at Leideman Brothers from their Nr. 1 pairing ‘Arturo’ x ‘Tila’ … crossed to the Sangers top racing hen ‘Silvie’

Sangers young bird team in top shape at the end of the season

The 2024 season is almost at the end; the last discipline is the late tour with 5 races between 170 km and 360 km. Sangers Pigeons send their young birds team to this discipline for experience and they show fine quality directly with very good results … like on Tienen (174 km) in Rivierenland South-East*:
1-2-4-9-14-18-22-23-27-28-etc. against 2,133 b.
1st prize: NL24-8212982 is from ‘Ardit’ (son ‘Banksy’ x ‘Angelina’) x dght. ‘Daniël’
2nd prize: NL24-8212775 is from ‘Banksy’ (‘Kittel’ x own mother) x ‘Inbred Dght. BKII’

After 3 races (from 5) the Sangers youngsters also dominate the acebird competition:1-3-5-6-8-11-12-etc.
Provisional 1st acebird: NL24-8212941 is grandchild of ‘Goldstream’ (‘Skittel’ x ‘Gold Dust’) and ‘Davina’ (‘Junior’ x ‘Sister Best Kittel II’)

Gysberts-Sangers partnership excels with 1-2-3-4 YB 3,559 b.

On the second young birds race of the season the partnership between Johan Gysberts and Sangers Pigeons excelled again. Racing under the names Gysberts-Sangers and Lorena Gysberts (Johan’s daughter) they won 1-2-3-4 against 3,559 birds from Luyksgestel (115 km). An important part of the racing team are pigeons based of Sangers-bloodlines.

Crowned as 1. s-prov. champion short/middle distance

The short/middle distance season ended July 13th with Chimay (270 km) … Comb. Sangers again performed very well, with 19 pigeons in the race and in South-area of combine GOU the 3rd-6th-9th-21st prize against 2,542 b. … it resulted in the 1st nominated championship over all short and middle distance races 2024 and also the 2nd s-prov. acebird short/middle distance.

In the same weekend the long distance race from Issoudun (655 km) was raced; Sangers won a/o 7th NPO against 3,497 birds … another confirmation of the top forme of the racing team. Youngsters are momentarily prepared for their first races. They shall be entered on the late season races, starting middle of August 2024.

Super exclusive new grizzle pearl for Sangers Pigeons

In our fantastic ‘Goed Grijs’ breeding team we also introduced children of ‘Grizzle Best Kittel’ – 2. Nat. Ace KBDB speed and owned by P**A Breeding. He is son of ‘Grizzle Mama’, maybe the best breeding daughter of ‘Goed Grijs’ alive. Today we purchased the only child ever bred from ‘Grizzle Best Kittel’ x ‘Grizzle Mama’ … a unique son x mother pairing. Thomas Gyselbrecht said this is the only one of this pair ever to be sold! We look forward to breed from this top exclusive hen!

Top result provincial Melun; 4x top 10 against 9,519 birds

On the middle distance race from Melun (463 km) Sangers Pigeons confirmed the top form this season … Against 9,519 birds in the provincial result a top performance was listed:
3-7-8-9 etc. and 53 prizes from 67 basketed.
Team Sangers entered under 3 names; Comb. Sangers, Eric Maas (loft manager) and Chantal Vredeveld (partner Marcel).

Together with his friend Johan Gijsberts, Sangers races under the names Gijsberts-Sangers & Lorena Gijsberts in Voorst. On the same Melun race, in the North-East region they win 1st-2nd-3rd against 2,156 birds. A top performance!

In the championships with 3 more short/middle distance races to go, Comb. Sangers is in the top of all standings.

On last weeks middle distance race we won 1st Sourdun 452 km against 1,284 b., also 2nd prize regional 3,342 b … this was the 8th race of the season and our young team is doing very well! After the sale on P**A we are rebuilding our team and in 2024 they are really showing talent!! In intermediate scores we are:
