Breeder and exhibitor of American Akitas & Shiba Inu. Runned by John Aareskjold Tjøtta Established in 1983 by Lars Aareskjold.

John Aareskjold Tjøtta joined the affix in late 90`s. We also work very well together with our friends Siri Larsen & Frode Ravndal who Co-own several Shiba & Am Akita together with us. Recently John`s cousin Hanna is taking more and more active part in the breeding and showing. Our goal is to breed American Akitas and Shibas as close to the breed standard as possible. Our goal is to be among the t

op breeders in Europe on both breeds

Our goal is to breed typey dogs, with good temperaments and good health. Our goal is that our puppy buyers will be happy with their Ølenskjold`s pup, either it is show, pet og sport-dog. All our dogs are living in small groups of maximum 3-4 dogs at each place.We have big fenced area`s with a lot of space fore our dogs to run on for hours each day together in groups.

Great news from our Finnish friend Erja Lajunen and her two stunning Ølenskjold boys :

Ølenskjold`s Quickstep "Ulf" - Best Veteran of the year - 2023
Ølenskjold`s Attention Seeker "Elvis" Best Junior of the Year - 2023 & Overall no3 best dog of the Year - 2023. Elvis did also take BOB and BIS at the Breed speciality in Finland under breed specialist 2023.

De Kaners Dr Zhivago (imp Spain) takes another BOBpuppy 👏🌟

Shiba:
We had no less than 3 puppies making their debut in the show ring. Ølenskjold’s Minerva & Ølenskjold’ Rubeus, both 4 months after Yuri x Zuka and Ølenskjold’s Aki, 5 months after Yuri x Zelma. The future are looking bright for all three🔥🤩
And we have to give an extra appreciation to our own rising star Minerva who took BOBpuppy with a lovely critique 🤍 She is co owned with Hanna Haaland and living with Ann Elin Kydland

Hanna Haaland had another good weekend showing both Da Kaners Dr Zhivago and Ølenskjold’s Minerva 🙌
