Today we are celebrating a beautiful blond, so talented and just the kindest💛
We’re celebrating Frida’s 30th birthday🥳🥳🥳

Frida, I can’t even describe how fun we’ve had the past year, learning so much about ourselves, other people and of course dogs😍🐶🐕🐩🐾 and even when we’ve had a lot on our plates, we’ve managed it together! Our customers tell us it’s very helpful to have a dog trainer for themselves. To many, it’s important to be seen, heard and have that individual help you don’t always get in a group course! That’s why we have private consultations☺️🥰

In our group courses with there is a maximum of 8 dogs per course, and for us we’ve chosen even fewer to be sure we’ll have time to see each individual and help them as good as we can🥰

This past year has given us so much joy, fun times, cuddles, and valuable experience that we will take with us for the rest of our lives🥰

This is what we call a real floof! One of our most floofy customers, Nansen, trained with us this week🐾 He’s actually been training with us since he was a little puppy, and we’re so happy to have been able to follow him🥰👏🏼

Yesterday we had our second group puppy and basic courses!🐶 it was so much fun!😃

Meet .spirit !😃 He’s a friend of our dogs, and we’ve been so lucky that we’ve been able to borrow him sometimes to get more experience training with a male dog😊

He’s a very gentle and kind boy! We highly recommend all dog owners to have at least one floofy friend to play with!

Does your dog like being home alone?🐶

You don’t need more than a mobile phone📱 and a computer with a camera💻 put your computer somewhere where you can see the dog and bring your mobile phone with you when you leave the house🏡

We have gathered together our Favorite Apps to use in home alone training and why we recommend them:

GOOGLE MEET: organize a meeting with yourself ➡️ start the meeting on your computer ➡️ start the meeting on your phone and turn the microphone off🔇
You can now check the meeting in your phone whenever you want, and if you want you can even try to turn on the microphone and talk to your dog (dogs react very differently on this, it can either stress the dog more or calm it down/make it stop doing something bad - so try it out before leaving the house for many hours).

FACETIME: call yourself from mobile phone to computer ➡️ answer the call so it has started before leaving the house ➡️ turn the microphone off both on computer and mobile phone🔇 and you’re ready to watch your dog!
❗️Your computer must have FaceTime for it to work.
❗️You cannot leave the call, or else you’ll loose the connection.

DOG MONITOR: an app specially made for this!🌟
Follow the instructions and connect it to both computer and mobile phone ➡️ you’re ready to use it when leaving the house🏡
On this app you can choose for it to tell you when your dog makes noises, that way you don’t have to check it all the time👏🏼
❗️it costs a little bit - so not free as the other two above.

We trained on recall and fetch, and this time we saw a different Elvira - a very energetic, fast and motivated floof!🙌🏼 We think it was the amount of snow, and that she really had fun😍

For trainings when you want a fast dog, for example while training on recall, fetch, tricks, or high energetic commands, a tips is to use something the dog really likes😃 it can be a ball, a toy, just seeing you move fast/run, snow etc.

What gives your dog that extra energy?🤩 maybe you can think of ways it can help you in your training?😉

Trening som dette er en investering i valpens liv. Det kan være forskjellen som gjør at du og hunden din får bare fine nyttårsfeiringer sammen, i mange år fremover.

ønsker å sette fokus på hvor problematisk mye av praksisen i hundemarkedet er, og gjøre hundekjøp tryggere ved å hjelpe til med å få slutt på uetisk og uansvarlig praksis.
De kommer til å lansere en plattform for tryggere hundekjøp hvor godt informerte hundeeiere kan møte dedikerte oppdrettere i 2022! Stay tuned!

Going into a new weekend with the memories from last weekend, where we met the dogs ancestors, the wolves🐺🐺 it was such a special meeting, feeling sooo excited but strangely enough very safe🤍
The wolves were much more afraid of us than we were of them.

Incredible to think about that all our dogs come from wolves. They’ve changed a lot, some to the better and some maybe not, but at least we’re happy we have dogs that we can love and train with🥰

He’s no longer a guide dog because he got epilepsy😢 but luckily he doesn’t have many seizures❤️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sofia trained on walking nice in a leash with both Stella and Kronos, and you can say it isn’t as easy as with one dog, but she thinks they both did very good😍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

She got homework and will continue training at home until our next training together😄 it’s so important to know that only going to a dog course or consultation isn’t always enough, it’s the training you do when you go back home in your everyday life that will show the real progress😍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Tips to train at home without using too much time:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 walk 5 minutes less and train instead in your everyday walk⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧡 train on sit and stay & contact before and after every door when you go out (this can help the dog relax)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 train on walking nice in a leash in parts of your everyday walk⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧡 train on sit and stay before giving food to your dog⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🧡 and to make it fun tell your dog to jump on rocks or benches you pass by in your everyday walk

Hi, My name is Sofia, 29, living in Oslo with my husband and dog. Working as an Admission Consultant in an Upper-secondary school in Oslo as well as a dog trainer! I am passionate about animals, and my dream has always been to work with dogs or other animals.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I grew up having a lot of animals like guinea pig, rabbit, lovebirds and other birds, turtles and even a duck. My family in Greece had a street mix called Aris, and I got my own dog, a medium-sized poodle, when I was 12. After many years of happiness they passed away💔⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hereafter my husband and I fostered a goldenlab (named Kronos🦮) who went on becoming a guide dog. After him we fostered a standard poodle (named Stella🐕‍🦺). She didn’t pass as a guide dog due to stress, so her career changed to our family dog❤️ I’ve trained a lot with Stella, and together with everything I’ve learned from my studies I’ve seen the huge benefit of the training! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have realized that due to the pandemic many people became new dog-owners, and I’m afraid many dogs won’t get the training they need. I want to work as a dog instructor to learn more (cause you can never learn enough), to show the importance of training from the first day with a puppy, but also to inspire and motivate you to make training fun for both owners and dogs! You’ll see the amazing bond you and your dog can achieve by training in a good way🥰

Hi, I’m Frida! 29 years old living in Bærum, Norway with my two dogs! I work part time as an interior architect, and the rest of my time I spend training dogs and their owners, as well as my own dogs.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
First experience with dogs was me fostering a golden/lab to become a guide dog. I did that to see if a dog was suited to be a part of my life, and what I realised was that I was suited for a dog’s life! Then I made a lot of changes to make that happen. So that one dog turned into two new ones, and they are now my hole life!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My dogs are Saga and Roya, two standard poodle ladies🥰 I love training with them, and I have realised that I’m able to help others see how important training with their dog is - and teach others how to have calm, balanced dogs that doesn’t stress over what they experience in the environment around them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Studying dog training, canine behaviour and human behaviour is the most interesting thing I have ever experienced, and together with my best friend I hope to learn, develop and help as many people (and dogs) as possible for many years to come!

We have updated our highlights about us, check it out! Our summer vacations have come to an end☀️

Next week we’ll follow a dog course as assistant dog trainers with our teacher. We do this to learn more, and it’s part of our studies🥰 then we’ll continue training with you guys from week 32😍

Having two young dogs isn’t something Frida recommends, unless you have the time and experience. All dogs needs a lot of time training the first two years of their life, so having two is even more work. They have different needs and that means you’ll have to focus at one at a time. You’ll also need to train them together, so for example they can walk nicely together. Fortunately she has been, and still is, working a lot with both of them, and it shows😍👏🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
