People ask us what toys we bring for our cats when we go camping. We are rarely away more than a week at the time and we do travel to a new place almost every day. We hike, we go to the beach, we lounge around the van and sometimes we just relax on a blanket.

They explore everything, the area around the car, the area we hike in, the people we meet and greet. Honestly there are so many impressions they rarely need or want any extra play.

However when we do play with them we just use the stuff available, a straw, a stick, a pinecone. They are happy chasing pine cones when you throw them, or try to catch a straw. No extra toys are really needed.

Trying out our new harnesses, absolutely approved and so far escape proof as well. If you are looking for a lightweight and escapeproof (in my experience) harness you should definitely take a look at these. Sturdy materials that won't snap but still very lightweight and non restrictive. (Not sponsored, bought with our own money)

A visit to Midgard vikingcenter.

We walked around the grounds on a perfect day. Looked at old viking burial grounds and visited a reconstructed longhair. Looked at the blacksmith working and visited the chickens.
They have fantastic grounds with beautiful paths through the forest and along the water. Totally recommend for anyone.
Bati and Sarabis favourite was playing in an old hollow tree stump.

Sarabi's plan: hide in the nearest backpack. Bati's plan: return to the car immediately.

We made it all the way to Pikesten Lighthouse, stopped for lunch on the rocks, and gave everyone some time to settle down. Unfortunately, the beach adventure never happened—the wind won that battle. 😹

Sometimes the best part of an adventure is simply being together, even when your hiking buddies decide they're off duty. ❤️🐾

Do we have to go any further, there's wind in my nose.

Nope, just nope. Mom took out the lunch from her backpack and while it was open Sarabi climbed in. Too windy for her.

Yup, the lighthouse was there but neither of the cats wanted to go anywhere near it or the beach.

Are you kidding me, I'm not going there.

Back to the car it is.

Just one last look at the lighthouse, nope, still too windy.

This is so much better, walking with the wind not against it.

And a short pottybreak on the way.

I want to go home now where is the car?

A sunny afternoon exploring the historic timber flume in Vennesla. 🌲✨ Bati happily walked the wooden path while Sarabi enjoyed the view from her backpack, carried by Catdad. Slow steps, warm sunshine, birds singing, and another unforgettable summer memory together. ❤️
